Task 1: Participate and Assist

a. Perform the activities in page 148.
Task 2.: Notice
           a. Answer questions in page 148.
 the alignment of the different formative assessment tasks used with the learning outcomes.
 the teaching methods and the assessment are aligned to the learning activities designed to
achieve the learning outcomes.
 the students’ participation, behavioral response, comments in the formative assessment tasks.
 students are more likely to take the activities seriously and put forth the effort.Allow
students to demonstrate knowledge in multiple ways. The teacher provides tangible
evidence of student engagement and learning. The students behaviors include engaging
with the learning goals, providing and receiving feedback to peers and teachers.
 how the students assess their progress
 by identifying their skills, strengths and capabilities. As a teacher, you should teach your
students to self-assess and set goals, engage students in self-reflection and let them share
their learning.
 our own feelings and thoughts as you assisted your CT.
 formulate the formative assessment tasks. - While the teacher formulates the formative
task the students can identify their strengths  and weaknesses and target areas that need
work.
 administer formative assessment tasks. - Formative assessment informs the teacher about
the academic progress of the learner. It is done on a daily basis  as it helps the teacher  to
use different teaching strategies and to plan interventions to assist learners. It also gives
the student a chance to know his/her situation as he/she can get objective feedback from
the teacher.
Task 3, Analyze
           b. Answer questions at page 148.
 Did the formative assessment tasks help students master what they were expected to learn?
 Formative assessment helps to improve the involvement of students in learning and also
achievement in tests. It is used to give emphasis as to where the teacher is going to assist
or whether to improve students' learning in a certain area. It is utilized  to change which
technique best matches his/her learner so that teachers may improve their education and
the learner can learn more effectively.
 Was students’ response to formative assessment exercises favorable or unfavorable? Why?
 Yes it is favorable because formative assessment identifies students' strengths and
weaknesses, measures their level of knowledge, and determines how to improve learning
and evaluation.
 Did the conduct of formative assessment and self-assessment affect students’ attainment of
learning outcomes? How?
 It affects the students’ attainment of learning outcomes.Because of this, adjustments can
be made to lessons, instructional strategies, and academic support. Formative assessment
enables teachers to pinpoint concepts that students are finding difficult to comprehend,
abilities they are finding difficult to pick up, or learning standards they have not yet
attained. Students are more engaged in their learning and perform better on tests when
effective formative assessment is used. According to a related study, pupils who self-
regulate their learning obtain much higher grades than those who do not.
  What was the effect of students assessing their own progress on their motivation to learn?
 Self-assessment can increase the interest and motivation level of students for the subjects
leading to enhanced learning and better academic performance, helping them in
development of critical skills for analysis of their own work.

Task 4: Reflect (page 149).
How would attainment of learning outcomes be affected if there were no formative assessments nor self-
assessments?
 If there were no formative assessment, we cant help our students to identify their weaknesses,
strengths and abilities because formative assessment is a key element of practice that supports
students to become independent and self-regulating learners. It is an integral part of instruction as
it determines whether or not the goals of education are being met.
Task 5: Answer “Write action Research Prompts” Questions (page149-150)

Task 6. Answer questions for Checking Mastery at page 151 and discuss your answers briefly.
Task 6: Work on your artifacts (page 152)
I will be rated along the following:
a. Quality of my observations and documentations
b. Completeness and depth of my analysis
c. Depth and clarity of my classroom observation – based reflections
