stores, explain the implications this has for the HR department.

If Grower's Choice strategic mission includes rapidly increasing the

number of stores, the implications this has for the human resources department
are the following; Staffing needs to be done through hiring and recruitment,
Provide training to the new hires, Communicate company goals and policies,
Develop the skills and motivation of the employees and last but not the least is that
ethics and values of the employees are to be practiced while providing service to
the customers.

2. How should Grower’s Choice mission and values statements influence Alonzo as
he restructures the HR department?

Alonzo should be influenced by the Grower's Choice mission and values

statements as he restructures the HR department by implementing fair policies
and procedures in the HR management function. He must educate and train
employees to work and serve in accordance with the organization's goals and
values. Communication of company policies, encouragement of community
development, and corporate social responsibility efforts throughout the
organization are all important steps in this direction.

3. Explain ways each of the four HRM functions can contribute to supporting the
mission and values.

By adhering to the company's policies of fairness and prioritizing quality

and customers, the four HRM functions can help to support the mission and values.
The four functions of management are planning, organizing, leading and
controlling. Some of us only see the last two - leading and controlling - but you
should be aware that for every managerial behaviour you do see, there are an
equal number that you do not. Behind the manager's closed door, he or she spends
a significant amount of time planning and organizing in order to effectively carry
out the functions of leading and controlling. Planning is the first of the managerial
functions. In this step, the manager will develop a detailed action plan aimed at
achieving a specific organizational goal. The second managerial function is
organization. This step determines how the manager will allocate resources and
organize her employees in accordance with the plan. The third management
function is leading; in this step, the manager spends time connecting with his or
her employees on an interpersonal level. This extends beyond simply managing
tasks to include communicating with, motivating, inspiring, and encouraging
workers to attain higher levels of productivity. And last but not the least is the
controlling, the role of an organization's management is to ensure that the
organization's goals are met as planned and on time. Control is one of the most
important organizational functions among the many functions of management.
Thus, without controlling management can’t ensure the desired results.
