GRAMMAR EXERCISES

A. Sysnonim
Note the highlited word in each selection. Underline its synonim.
1. That woman’s remarks are always rude! Why can’t she keep her comments to herself?
2. Don’t expend too much energy on that game or you won’t have enough left to use on
homework.
3. You shouldn’t make a big deal about Sam’s errors when you haven’t even corrected your

B. Noun Search
Underline the nouns. Here’s some help : In each sentence, there will be three or four nouns
and they will always be in alphabetical order.

C. Finding the Violators


There is a word or punctuation mark in each sentence that is incorrect. Underline it and write
the correct word or punctuation mark after the sentence.
