WORKSHEET For Practical 1

The document describes an experiment involving a menu-driven C++ program that implements array operations. The aim is to write functions for inserting elements at the end or a given position, deleting elements by value or position, and displaying the array. The student creates the flowchart, program code, and explains there were no errors. The output involves traversing, inserting, and deleting from the array and printing the modified array. The learning outcomes include identifying computational methods, writing pseudo-code, choosing data representations, and selecting programming constructs.

EXPERIMENT NUMBER –Practical 1.

STUDENT’S NAME – AMAN SINGH

STUDENT’S UID – 21BCS5520

CLASS AND GROUP – PH21BCS810 - B

SEMESTER –3rd Semester

AIM OF THE EXPERIMENT – write a menu driven program that implement following operations

(using separate functions) on a linear array:

a) insert a new element at end as well as at a given position

b) delete an element from a given whose value is given or whose position is given

c) to display the elements of the line array

ERRORS ENCOUNTERED DURING PROGRAM’S EXECUTION
(Kindly jot down the compile time errors encountered)

No errors were encountered during compilation and program

execution.

PROGRAM’s EXPLANATION (in brief)

In this program we have worked on Array. We have made a menu driven program
in which we have traversed the array, insertion of an element, deletion of an
element. After all the three tasks were done we have printed the newly formed
array after every task.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
 Identify situations where computational methods would be useful.
 Approach the programming tasks using techniques learnt and write pseudo-code.
 Choose the right data representation formats based on the requirements of the problem.
 Use the comparisons and limitations of the various programming constructs and choose
the right one for the task.
