Comparatives: A comparative is used to explain the difference(s) between two elements.

There is more than one way to form the comparative of adjectives:

 For one-syllable and two-syllable adjectives use adjective + -er.


An iPad Mini is cheaper than an iPad Retina.

Be careful! There are often spelling changes when you add –er.

big – bigger friendly - friendlier pretty – prettier

Be careful! Some adjectives have irregular comparative forms.

good – better bad –worse

 For most other adjectives of two or more syllables, use more/less + adjective.
The 5 G is more modern than 3G
LTE (long term evolution) is more advanced than GSM(global system mobile)
Microsoft mobile operating systems are less popular than Android.
UMTS has less performance than LTE
