Hit Someone by Motorbike
The first time in my life I hit someone by riding a motorbike alone. Before, I had never hit someone while riding a motorbike alone however, what I had experienced was that during high school it crashed into a car and it happened two times with my friend who was riding and the same incident. The incident with my friend did make me more careful when riding, but when I fell riding alone made me think why I was so stupid at that time. In October last month my friends and I planned to go out, before leaving together, we usually gathered first at the boarding house of one of our friends. Because my house is the farthest from the city, I set off alone to my friend's boarding house using a motorbike which took about 1 hour. It was on Saturday afternoon on the street it was a bit crowded because of the weekend. On the road I rode at the usual speed. When it was almost close to the traffic light many cars stopped on the right and left of the lane with me, indeed at that time the traffic light was red. I usually slip past between the cars. As I passed the middle between the cars suddenly a boy appeared riding a motorbike not using a helm from the left in front of one of the cars, and I hit him. I was shocked and we both fell. I fell crashing into the front side of his bike and the back of the car in front of my right. He had blamed me and said that he was driving his motorbike slowly. I was still in a state of confusion trying to get up and at that time there were a man directing us to pull over to the side of the road. My feeling at the time was very bad when I saw the front of the bike, the light of the motorbike came off, the right rear-view mirror tilted because it had hit the back of the car and moreover it wasn't my bike but my uncle's bike. I was stunned and didn't know what I was thinking at the time. Luckily, we didn't have any serious injuries. I was asked by the man but I just kept quiet. He asked about who is at fault in this incident and he immediately left as soon as I didn't answer his question. Maybe he was going to help us solve the problem. After a while I was stunned, finally I asked the boy about his condition and how to solve this problem. He replied that he was fine, only his motorbike license plate came off. Because I thought that it was my fault and surely my friends were waiting for me, I immediately apologized and gave him 50,000 Rupiah. Then I plugged in the light of motorbike which came off even though later it would come off again and I left after he also apologized to me too. I drove slowly to my friend's boarding house. After arriving at my friend's boarding house, I immediately informed my uncle and my mother. My uncle said that it was not my fault and it was okay about the motorbike, he would fix it. While my mom actually scolded me jokingly because instead of me giving him the money, he should be the one giving me the money. Then I realized it wasn't my fault. After that incident I continued to drive as usual and be more careful. If I encounter something like this, I will think first in solving it and also see from many perspectives so I don't repeat it again. Even though I felt stupid at that time but I was grateful at that time, because I only brought a little money, if I brought a lot, I probably would have given the boy more money.
