2 ANVENDELSESOMRÅDE OG SPECIFIKATIONER
2.1 Driftsmiljø og luftmedier
ROBOX er egnet til anvendelse i støvfri, ikke-eksplosive og ikke-korrosive miljøer og alene til transport af atmosfærisk luft eller nitrogen.
Advarsel: ROBOX er ikke konstrueret til fremføring af eksplosive, giftige eller på anden måde farlige luftarter

Støjspredningen fra overfladerne ses på side 4 som støjniveau målt efter ISO 3476 på 1 meters afstand fra ROBOX og i fri luft (tolerance +/- 2
dB(A))
Advarsel: Robox EL: Ved for høj kompression eller rotationshastighed kan støjniveauet (uden støjfang)
overstige 85 dB (A)
Bemærk : Støjen udgående fra rørføringen til og fra ROBOX kan afvige fra de anførte værdier, da niveauet
afhænger af røropbygningen i den konkrete situation

Transporter ROBOX i tæt emballage, der beskytter mod skadelige stoffer i atmosfæren. Ved søtransport skal ROBOX beskyttes ved hjælp af
vandsugende salt.
Under transport af pumpen fastgøres pallen til transportanordningen for at forebygge skader på denne.
Advarsel : Fjern eventuelle løse genstande fra transportanordningen for at forebygge eventuel skade
3.2 Udpakning
Kontroller straks ved modtagelsen, om forsendelsen er i overensstemmelse med ordren og undersøg for eventuelle skader
opstået under transporten.
Advarsel : Kontakt ROBUSCHI ved eventuel skade med henblik på vurdering af mulige risici ved idriftsættelse af
ROBOX
Advarsel: Pak anlægget forsigtigt ud og bortskaf farlige komponenter (søm, splitter, etc.)
3.3 Oplagring
Opbevar ROBOX beskyttet mod direkte sol og i øvrigt under følgende klimaforhold:
Temperatur fra –20°C til 40°C
Relativ fugtighed fra 10% til 80%
Kontakt ROBUSCHI, hvis de aktuelle klimaforhold afviger herfra.
Advarsel : Kontroller pumpens spillerum og koblingens justering, hvis de klimatiske forhold under oplagring
falder uden for de angivne områder for temperatur og relativ fugtighed
Forny rustbeskyttelsen hvert halve år eller oftere, hvis den relative fugtighed overstiger 80%

4 OPSTILLING
4.1 Placering
ROBOX’ dimensioner og vægt fremgår af oversigtstegningerne i afsnit 8. Overfladen skal være plan, vandret (max 0,5 mm/m),
vibrationsfri, have en bæreevne afpasset efter enhedens vægt og uden dynamiske belastninger.
Bemærk: Kontakt ROBUSCHI eller autoriseret forhandler, hvis ROBOX skal opstilles på metalramme
Se fig. 7 nedenfor med hensyn til placering af et eller flere ROBOX-anlæg i samme rum samt minimumsmål for opstilling og
udførelse af vedligeholdelsesarbejder.
Vedligeholdelsesarbejde kan udføres, mens ROBOX arbejder.
Advarsel : Stå ikke sådan, at De kan blive ramt af udkast fra sikkerhedsventilen, når ROBOX arbejder
Døre eller åbninger i øvrigt til det rum, hvori ROBOX er opstillet, skal være tilstrækkeligt store til, at en gaffeltruck kan passere.
Bemærk : Afstanden L skal være stor nok til, at ROBOX kan sættes på plads med en gaffeltruck

Monter altid afspærringsventiler på tilslutningsrørene, så ROBOX kan isoleres fra virksomhedens anlæg under service- og
vedligeholdelsesarbejder.

5 DRIFT
5.1 Indledende kontrol
ROBOX ES: Afmonter transportsikringsanordningen på
antivibrationsfødderne, se fig. 11. Gem transportsikrings-
anordningerne til brug ved eventuel senere transport.
5.2 Indkøring
Advarsel: ROBOX EL - Blæseren må ikke dreje den forkerte vej mere end ganske få omgange
ROBOX ES: Genmonter kileremme (se afsnit 6.4) og fjern motorens transportsikring
Bemærk : Gem motorens transportsikringsanordninger til brug ved eventuel senere service (se afsnit 6.4)
Kontroller ventilatorens omdrejningsretning. Den skal rotere mod uret set fra motorsiden.
Åbn ventilen til kølekredsløbet (kun for -RF)
Opstart af ROBOX
Kontroller sikkerhedsventilens og startventilens korrekte funktion (kun for /VSM) (se afsnit 5.6)

2 PERFORMANCE LIMITS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
2.1 Operating environment and conveyed gas
ROBOX is suitable to operate only in dust free environment, with no-explosive or corrosive atmosphere and to convey only atmospheric Air or
Nitrogen.
Warning : For high compression ratio and for high speed of rotation noise level of ROBOX EL (without noise
enclosure) can be higher than 85 dB(A).
Note : The noise radiated from the piping connected to ROBOX can be different from the value indicated in this
manual because it depends by the piping configuration.

3 STORAGE
3.1 Handling
Warning : Do not remove the arrangement to lock motor brackets during handling.
To handle the ROBOX use the wooden pallet as indicated in the figure 6 below, the weight is indicated in section 8

3.3 Preservation
Keep ROBOX in a place protected against solar radiation and at following climatic conditions :
Temperature from –20 °C to 40 °C
Relative humidity from 10 % to 80 %
If different climatic conditions are forecast contact ROBUSCHI.
Warning : If, during storage, the climatic conditions overcame the indicated limits check the pump clearances,
the coupling alignment and the screws tightening.
Warning : Do not preserve ROBOX in atmosphere with any substance also feebly corrosive

4 INSTALLATION
4.1 Lay out
The dimension and weight of ROBOX are indicated in the drawings in section 8, basement has to be flat and level (max 0.5 mm on 1 m), free
from vibrations and suitable to support the weight of unit, no dynamic loads are involved.
Figure 7 shown the recommended lay-out for one or more ROBOX inside a chamber and the dimensions recommended for installation and for
maintenance of ROBOX.
It is possible to stay in the maintenance area during ROBOX operation.
Warning : Do not stay in the discharge area of relief valve discharge during ROBOX operation
The doors or the openings of the ROBOX room must be suitable for the passage of the fork lift.
Note : The dimension L must allow the fork lift operation during the on-site positioning of ROBOX.

4.2 Pipe-lines
Provide terminal pipes of the plant following the dimensions indicated in the drawings in section 8.
Install always a shut-off valve on the terminal pipes of the plant to insulate ROBOX from the plant during service operations.

4.5 Outdoor installation
Note : Robuschi & C. S.p.A. refuses all responsibility for electric connections not complying with the law in
force.
Check on the principal motor plate and on the fan motor plate : Voltage, Absorbed current, Frequency, number of phases.
Wiring diagram accompanies the terminal board of the motors , if the diagram has not been supplied request it from the motor manufacturers.
Use suitable electric cables depending on the nominal current of the electric motor.
Keep the electric cables away from heat sources and/or pointed edges
Wire the fan motor to switch-on and switch-off together with blower motor
Note : If the ambient temperature is above 30 °C delay the switch-off of fan motor of 15 minutes.
Protect the motor by means of automatic switch set at the rated value of the motor current .
Install a local control panel with a general switch I (see Fig. 7) with a key in order to lock it in open position during service operations and an
emergency push-button E (see Fig. 7)
Warning : Blower service must be carried out after disconnecting the electrical supply.

5 OPERATION
5.1 Preliminary controls
ROBOX ES Remove the transport safety devices of the elastic feet
(see Fig. 12) and conserve them for future handling.
Open the shut-off valve on the discharge pipe or on the suction pipe.
ROBOX ES remove the front panel of noise hood and remove the V-belt (see paragraph 6.4)
ROBOX EL remove the motor safety transport device (see paragraph 6.4)
Check the direction of rotation of the motor by means of a short current pulse, it must be counter clockwise viewed from the shaft.
Warning : ROBOX EL do not rotate the blower in the wrong direction for more than a few revolutions.
ROBOX ES Reinstall the V-belts (see paragraph 6.4) and remove the motor transport safety device
Nota : Conserve the motor safty transoprt device for the following service operations (see par. 6.4)
Check the direction of rotation of the fan, it must be counterclockwise seen from the motor.
Open the valve of the cooling circuit (only for -RF)
Start-up ROBOX.
Check the operation of the relief valve (see paragraph 5.6) and the operation of the starting valve (only for –VSM)
Increase the operating pressure gradually until the rated value is reached.
During the first 8 hours of operation check that there are no strange noises, vibrations, oil leakage or overheating, if such problems are found
stop ROBOX immediately and contact ROBUSCHI or an authorized distributor.

5.4 Relief valve setting
ROBOX ES Remove the rear panel of the noise hood and the valve protection
Warning : When setting the valve don’t introduce fingers or any other element between turns of the spring
because can produce injuries or it can hinder proper operation of the valve.
Warning : Do not approach opening of SPF silencer with clothes or other elements which could be sucked
inside the pipe.
Warning : Air coming from the valve is hot and can hurt.

5.5 Inlet silencer setting
The suction silencer is set before delivery for the working conditions confirmed in order acknowledgement.
Following setting operations are requested only by different working conditions.
Note : In case of variable speed operation set the silencers for the lowest speed.

5.7 Black-out
In case of black out ROBOX is not damaged and not induces any risk of explosion.

Stop ROBOX and auxiliary system as indicated in the paragraph 5.4.
Insulate ROBOX from the plant and restore the atmospheric pressure into it
Warning : The gas contained in the plant may be hot, toxic and irritant
Warning : Disconnect the electric supply, lock the general switch in open position with the key and conserve it
during service operation

6.5 Motor replacement
Disassemble theV-belts as described in par. 6.4
Disassemble the motor pulley following the manufacturer instructions

6.6 Blower maintenance
Disassembly the blower within the guarantee period results in the cancellation of the guarantee.
Disassembly, repair work and reassembling of the blower must be carried out only by qualified personnel and with the aid of suitable
equipment and relevant manual.
For the identification of the parts see section at page 42 of the manual.
Note : Guarantee does not cover damages caused by operations carried out incorrectly .
Empty the cooling circuit (only /RF) and disconnect the relevant piping
Empty the lubricating oil out of the sump 12A
Warning : Do not damage the lip of the ring 43 during this operation.
Reassemble the sump 12A onto the cover 5A using a new gasket 50 in between
Refill the sump 12A with new lubricating oil as per paragraph 6.1.
Reassemble the V-belts as indicated in the paragraph 6.4
Warning : Keep to prescribed safety rules when using solvents and wear protection glasses and safety gloves
Note : Do not damage the internal surface of the chamber and the surface of the rotors with the scraper.
Warning : During this operation pay attention to rotors which can cause the squeezing of the finger and hands.

1 BESKRIVELSE AF BLÆSEREN
1.1 Arbejdsprincip
RBS-serien er vakuumblæsere. To rotorvinger 2, placeret ved
siden af hinanden, roterer i et ottetalsformet hus 1.
Luften trækkes ind i blæseren ved trykket P1 og
temperaturen T1, suges ind i hulrummet V mellem hus og
rotorvinger, hvor der opbygges et overtryk, og blæses
herefter ud ved trykket P2 og temperaturen T2.
Blæserens kapacitet er proportional med
rotationshastigheden og er praktisk taget konstant ved
varierende driftstryk.

1.2 Opbygning
Huset 1 er indkapslet af lejehusene 5A og 5B med
pakningerne 45 og lejerne 31, 32 og 33.
Vingernes 2 rotation synkroniseres af tandhjulene 11A og
11B.
Akslerne er labyrintpakkede. Luften samles i luftlommer i
lejehusene og ledes ud i atmosfæren.
Oliesumpdækslerne 12A og 12B er monteret på
lejehusene og fungerer som smøresumpe for lejer og
synkrongear.

3 OPBEVARING
3.1 Udpakning
Kontroller straks ved modtagelsen, om forsendelsen er i overensstemmelse med ordren og undersøg for
eventuelle skader opstået under transporten.
Advarsel: Pak maskinen forsigtigt ud og bortskaf farlige komponenter (søm, splitter, etc.)

4.5 Rørforbindelser
Rørdiametrene skal afpasses efter en gennemsnitlig mediehastighed på 15 til 30 m/s og må aldrig være
mindre end blæseråbningens nominelle diameter. Er diametrene forskellige indsættes konisk
overgangsstykke.
Rørsystemet skal monteres på linie og understøttes for at forebygge overbelastning af indsugnings- og
udblæsningsåbningerne.
Indskyd fleksible samlinger.
Rørene skal renses omhyggeligt forinden tilslutningen.
Pakninger må ikke stikke ind i rørsystemet.
4.5.1 Indsugningsrør
Monter lyddæmpning direkte på blæserindsugningen.
Rengør omhyggeligt indsugningsrøret indvendigt.
Installer eventuelt et smudsfilter de første 100 driftstimer og et vakuummeter til kontrol af filtertilstanden.
Understøt røret hensigtsmæssigt.
4.5.2 Udblæsningsrør
Monter lyddæmpning direkte på blæserudgangen.
Understøt røret så tæt som muligt på den fleksible samling.
Isoler rørene for at undgå varmeafgivelse til omgivelserne og som forebyggelse mod ulykker.

5 DRIFT
5.1 Afprøvning
Check olien hvis blæseren har været opmagasineret i mere end 6 måneder.
Kontroller at transmissionen er rettet ind på linie og eventuelt remtrækkets opstramning.
Kontroller at blæseren drejer frit. Brug hånden.
Kontroller at sikkerhedsanordningerne er monteret korrekt og er fastspændte.
Kontroller at rør er rengjorte indvendigt og at eventuelle tilstopninger er fjernet.
Kontroller at samlinger mellem rør og blæser er korrekt pakkede og tilspændte.
Fyld olie på blæseren jf. afsnit 6.1.
5.2 Indkøring
Advarsel: Blæseren må ikke dreje den forkerte vej mere end ganske få omgange

1 BLOWER CHARACTERISTICS

1.2 Construction
The body 1 is closed at both ends by covers 5A and 5B in
which the seals 45 and bearings 31, 32 and 33 are
located.
The rotors 2 are synchronised by means of a gear with
involute toothed wheels 11A and 11B.
The shafts have labyrinth seals, gas leaks are collected
into special air spaces in the covers and are discharged
into the atmosphere.
Two sumps 12A and 12B are mounted on the covers
which act as oil tanks for the bath lubrication of the
bearings and of the synchronised gear .

2 PERFORMANCE LIMITS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Warning: The blower is not suitable to convey explosive, toxic or dangerous gases.
Warning: For high compression ratio and for high speed of rotation noise level of blower can
be higher than 85 dB(A).

3 STORAGE
3.1 Unpacking
Check always the correspondence between documents and materials and the presence of eventual
damages due to transport.
Warning: Remove with care the packing and clearing all the dangerous elements (nails,
splits, etc…)

3.3 Preservation
Keep the blower in a dry, cool, closed environment, do not remove the openings protective covers and
renew the preservation (see 3.3.1 and 3.3.2) every 6 months or more frequently if the climate is damp.

4.4 Coupling
Secure the half couplings with security dowels which will push on the keys.
Place the blower at the distance S from the motor as indicated in the table below.
Align the shafts of the blower and of the motor by shims under the feet of the motor and/or blower.
Check the alignment by using comparators or gauges with scales as shown in Fig. 6

4.5 System piping
The diameters of the system piping must be chosen in order to obtain an average gas speeds from 15 a 30
m/s and must never be smaller than the diameters of the blower openings, if the diameters are different, use
a taper connector.
The system piping should be properly aligned and supported to prevent stress on the blower openings.
Provide flexible joints.
The pipes must be thoroughly cleaned before connection.
The gaskets must not interfere with the gas system.
Warning: Remove the protective covers from the blower openings just before connection.

6.2 Extraordinary maintenance
Warning: Before performing any maintenance operation, stop the blower by following the
procedure described at page 3 of the present manual.
For the identification of the parts see sections 270773 and 271110 at the end of this manual.
Warning: Keep to prescribed safety rules when using solvents and wear protection glasses
and safety gloves
Note: Do not damage the internal surface of the chamber and the surface of the rotors surface
when using the scraper.
Send the table 264468 filled out with measured clearances to ROBUSCHI & C. S.p.A. (or any authorised
distributor) for their review.
Warning: During this operation pay attention to rotors which can cause the squizing of the
finger and hands.

8 DISASSEMBLY AND REASSEMBLY
Disassembly the blower within the guarantee period results in the cancellation of the guarantee.
Disassembly, repair work and reassembly of the blower must be carried out only by skilled personnel and
with the aid of suitable equipment and relevant manual.
This manual contains only the instructions for preventative maintenance.
For any references to components see attached sections
Note: Guarantee does not cover damages caused by operations carried out incorrectly during
disassembly and/or reassembly of the blower.
8.1 Disassembly
Warning: Before starting disassembly stop the blower by following the procedure described at
page 3 of the present manual.
Disassemble the drive components (pulleys or coupling) following the manufacturer’s instructions if there are
locking devices or by means of an extractor if attached directly onto the shaft.
Empty the cooling circuit (only /RV) and disconnect the relevant piping.
Drain the lubricating oil from the sumps 12A e 12B
8.2 Reassembly
Before reassembly, thoroughly clean all components and lubricate with oil those components which have to
slide over each other.
