Door Construction
Wood doors consist of door frames constructed from kiln-dried 3 4 solid hardwood with mortise and tenon joints and floating center panels constructed of veneered or solid wood. White cabinet door styles are covered with Thermo Foil on the door front and a white melamine panel on the door back. Thermo Foil is produced when a PVC molded plastic is bonded to a pre-machined 34 thick medium density fiberboard (MDF) core using heat and pressure.
Cabinet Shelves
Cabinet shelves are 34 thick engineered wood with our TuffTech finishing system on wood door styles or melamine on white door styles. Shelves are banded on one side with melamine or PVC edge banding. All shelves are adjustable and meet KCMA load standards of 15 pounds per square foot.
Drawer Systems
24 deep cabinets utilize natural finish dovetail hardwood drawers with plywood bottoms and Full Access Hidden Glides System. Standard 21 and 18 deep cabinets and Deep Roll Out Trays utilize natural finish dovetail hardwood drawers with printed MDF bottoms and Side-Mounted Drawer Glides. All drawers featured in the guide meet KCMA load standards of 15 pounds per square foot.
Corner Blocks
Corner blocks are attached to help ensure cabinet squareness and allow for proper countertop installation.
Hinges
Fully concealed, self-closing Hidden Hinges are standard on all door styles.
Cabinet Back
The cabinet back is made from 18 thick hardboard substrate. The inside cabinet surface is finished with our TuffTech finishing system.

These drawings illustrate the relationship between the cabinet face frame and Partial Overlay (POL) and Full Overlay (FOL) doors. They show the amount of the cabinet face frame that is visible when Partial Overlay doors or Full Overlay doors are selected.
Partial Overlay
Partial Overlay (POL) is sometimes referred to as Traditional or Standard Overlay. Doors are sized to show about an inch of the cabinet face frame, giving the door some visual depth. Some door styles do not require knobs or pulls.
Full Overlay
Full Overlay (FOL) doors are sized to cover nearly all of the cabinet face frame. Full Overlay door styles require knobs or pulls.
