SCALING UP PRIMALS PLUS FOR SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS


“UPSKILLING TEACHERS AND INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERS’ PEDAGOGICAL
COMPETENCIES”

NARRATIVE REPORT: DAY 1- NOV. 5, 2022


The activity started at exactly 7:30 in the morning through the preliminary activities such as
registration and checking of attendance. Afterwards, the opening program and pre-test activities
followed. It started with an opening prayer and the singing of Philippine National Anthem facilitated by
my co-resource speaker Mr. Rodulfo P. Yabut, SHS teacher from Jacinto P. Elpa National high school.

Moreover, there was also an acknowledgement of participants through me. I introduce the
participants per school in a different way wherein they present themselves as a group by singing a chosen
or preferred song integrating their name of school or group as well us a message of willingness to
participate and cooperate in this particular training.

The group was being welcomed by the Tandag city division CID-CHIEF Dr. Jeanette R. Isidro.
She actually delivered her message of challenge as well as giving inspiration to the participants
consequently. Subsequently, our division special program specialist Madame Arlene L. Abala has
delivered the statement of purpose.

The session proper started at exactly 10:00 o’clock in the morning was facilitated by our first
resource speaker, Mr. Benny M. Cuadrado with the topic “Animating, Not Just Learning Experiences”. I
could say that the participants gained more learning to the given engaging varied activities.

To conclude the day’s activity, Madame Menchu T. Yu, managed the re-echo of our regional’s
second topic for primal’s plus training entitled, ‘Designing meaningful learning experiences to help
students reach mastery. Before we end the activities, there were couple of reminders for the participants
to prepare for the 2nd day’s activities. Lastly, we the resource speakers convened for few minutes, to
assess the activity in order for us to continue the good things happened and find ways as well to the room
for improvements based on our experience.
