EXTENDED WRITING
C) Children seem to emulate their parents and behave according to how their parents
behave towards them. How true is this statement in the story “Man of the house?”
Children seem to emulate their parents and behave according to how their parents behave
towards them. This statement is true and is proven when Gus Sullivan, the narrator treats
his mother similarly to how she would treat him when he’d be sick. In the story ‘The Man Of
The House’ the narrator stays home from school to take care of his ill mother and even goes
on to purchase medicine for her. If the narrator was sick and taken care of by his mother,
the same act would be done but in a more mature manner.
