    Nursing students were assigned to perform prenatal assessments on pregnant mothers in Barangay Health Center Bintawan Sur. On the first day of visits, the students met with their assigned mother, Mrs. MHT, and introduced themselves before conducting an interview and health assessment. They found Mrs. MHT was not taking her prescribed folic acid and iron supplements, so they provided health education on the importance of these medications. On the second visit, the students took Mrs. MHT's vital signs and completed another assessment and interview, finding she had not yet received any laboratory tests from the midwife.

    Chapter VII. Course of Visit

    Day 1 On October 10, 2022, at about 8:30am,


    October 10, 2022 students were assigned to look for their
    respective pregnant mothers that were
    assigned to them at the barangay health
    center from Bintawan Sur. We were assigned
    to Mrs. MHT and arrived at their area at
    about 9:30am. We introduced ourselves and
    stated the purpose of visit which was to
    perform a prenatal assessment. We started
    with an interview of the demographic profile
    and health history. She mentioned that she
    was not taking folic acid and ferrous sulfate
    and we performed health teaching on the
    importance of the medications.
    Day 2 On October 24, 2022, at about 10:00am, we
    October 24, 2022 went to Mrs. MHT’s house to assess and
    interview her for the last time. Upon arrival,
    she was not present as she was attending a
    school event of her firstborn. We assessed
    her vital signs before proceeding to the
    interview with a temperature of 36.7 degrees
    Celsius, a BP of 100/70, and a respiratory
    rate of 21 breaths/min. We performed the
    PERSON assessment on Mrs. MHT and
    when we asked if we could see her lab
    results, she stated that there were none as
    the midwife did not ask for it yet.
