INTRODUCTION

The telecom business support system course certificate issued by CSG. This course is connect
with telecom industries.Business support systems are the components that a
telecommunications service provider uses to run its business operations towards customers.
The Business Support System (BSS) makes it easier for service providers to interact with their
clients. BSS is made up of the elements that the telecom industry utilities to manage its
customer-facing business activities.BSS is more software-oriented and handles tasks like taking
customer orders, making sure they are fulfilled, processing bills, and collecting payments. BSS
is a system that interacts with customers.

Four Main Processes of BSS are:

 Product Management
 Customer Management
 Order Management
 Revenue Management

Customer Relationship Management is a key element of BSS (CRM). Numerous channels


exist for customer interaction using CRM. Call centre, USSD, company portal, SMS, email,
live chat, social media, company store, self-service kiosk, etc. are some examples of these
channels.The importance of CRM in the business model for telecommunications is well
covered in the course. CRM offers a central platform for the Sales, Marketing, Customer
Service Team, and other teams to give total visibility into the business. It also enables the
various departments to collaborate on one unified platform to develop leads, find opportunities,
close transactions, and support customers.

TECHNICAL ASPECTS

The telecom business support system course help to learn telecom industry organizations,
evolution of cellular network, (0G,1G,2G,3G,4G,5G) Networks.The telecom BSS domain
supports business operations and manages customer-facing interactions. BSS consists of call
centre automation, order capture and management, customer relationship management
(CRM), mediation, charging, invoicing billing, customer engagement, revenue and new
products.It streamlines a variety of customer-related services, from processing to
subscriptions and notifications.

CONCLUSION

After many recerch I conclude that the importance and benefits of telecommunication are It
satisfied our basic needs, It’s vital for security, It’s an economic booster, Encourages education,
It’s transformed the business world. Benefits of Using telecommunication in business are
Advanced communication, Improved collaboration, Enhanced flexibility, better customer
service.
The course cover rating and billing process. Rating system will apply charges as per plan.
Billing system will apply discounts and generate the final bill that is invoice for the customer.
The course concludes with Revenue Management, also known as Revenue Assurance, refers to
the steps taken to increase the revenue of the CSP, without impacting the sales.
