i. Finding the positive and negative effect of globalization in the society,as a criminology
student are you in favor of the actions of the government towards international cooperation
through globalization in terms of law enforcement.

 Globalization is a common word to each one of us.Globalization means the process of

interaction and integration among people, companies,governmental issues and many
more.Globalization is the word use to describe the growing interdependence of the
worlds economies, culture, and populations brought about by cross-border trade in
goods and services, technology and flows of investment and information towards the
issue that can help ones society.
As a result of globalization,there are numbers of positive effects of globalization in a
society,it creates a greater numbers of opportunities brought by a company to all
because they were open for some recruitments or laboures.
On the other hand, it has negative effect to those countries that are not developed as
they wil bring out their insecurities to those developed countries that will cause a
misunderstanding to a partner countries such as enacting terrorism,job insecurity,
currency fluctuation and price stability,which can lead to a downfall or decreased of a
country.
Yes,I am favour of the actions of the government towards the international cooperation
through globalization in terms of law enforcement. As I am witnessing and observing the
actions and efforts of the government in combating crimes involving International crimes
such as cybercrime. International crime support each other specially when one country
needs support in fighting this crime and many more issues against cybercrime such as
bullying and sexual harassment through internet. But globalization pushes one country
to become strong and determined of what they are doing specifically in terms of trading
products.

 The growth if Cybercrime is alarming. Recent surveys show that with advancements in
technology and anonymity in the internet, cybercrime will increase in severity and in
number over the years.Be that as it may, cybercrime is a threat to all sectors of society
worldwide.Private business entities such as banks, infrastructure, software companies,
copyrighted materials and government offices are not spared from cyber-threats.A
cybercriminal stationed in one country can commit a crime in another state with
impunity.
Jurisdiction in a cybercrime becomes a real issue specially when the perpetuator hides
behind the veil of a country with unregulated cyber-activities.In this regard,the principle
of sovereignty,which dictates that a law of one country cannot be imposed upon another,
becomes a bane to cybercrime prosecution.Crime is borderless but the enforcers are
restricted by the borders of sovereignty.
With this realization,more and more countries are now adopting an inter-country
cooperation approach against cybercrime. Interstate treaties harmonize laws in
signatory countries and establish systems of mutual cooperation.
Although some object to the "seeming" interference of foreign state's on ones territory,
the same is a small price to pay compared to the magnitude of damages and terror the
cybercriminals can cause if they are allowed unabated access to the internet.

1. Compare and contrast the above cited legal system policing.

 CIVIL LAW SYSTEM is relying on written legal codes that leads to the legal procedures
of punishing a person. Which is the civil law has the positive and negative effect to the
society.The positive effect of this legal system in the society are the judges here are
legal expertise as they sit in their position for over the years that can lead to a legal
remedies that the civil court has the power to award the successful party. While the
person who found guilty must compensate his or her damages as may be ordered to
paid and found the word "JUSTICE" to the victim. On the other hand, the negative effect
of this legal system to the society,judge have the limited knowledge of the subject matter
as it maybe technical or obscure in nature which can lead to the process of the court
became slow to find the answer because they must investigate and study well all the
possible solution to a particular case. Furthermore,both parties must pay fees before the
court will proceed to the commencing a claim.
COMMON LAW SYSTEM can respond to a cases, facts and happenings in state or in a
country immediately. We can't deny that there's always the positive and negative effect
implementing laws. The positive effect of this legal system to the society,they were
requiring the wrongdoers to pay compensation to those whom they intentionally injured
whether it is planned or not. Therefore ,this legal system performs the important role in
the society as they encourage the safeties and protectiveness of the society as they
used the flexible time to solve a certain problem.On the other hand ,the negative effect
of this system is the judge and panel of the judge have the minimal time in reforming
common law decisions. Furthermore,this legal system cannot change the decision that
they were already decided.
ISLAMIC LAW or also known as "SHARI'A LAW" which means "the clear, well trodden
path to water". Shari'a law derived from their religion precepts of Islam particularly
Quran and Hadith. The positive effect of this system to the society is they don't have the
due process of their law that is immediately proceed to the punishment of the person
who commits the crime or disobey the Will of God.On the other hand,the negative effect
of this law to the society is they used their power to punished the person who disobeyed
the Will of God such as death penalty.
CUSTOMARY LAW are based on the patterns of behavior. The law of customary legal
system are usually unwritten laws .That is being practiced by the society or in one
country such as beliefs and traditions. MIXED LEGAL SYSTEM combines the elements
of Civil Law , Common law, Islamic law, and Customary law . Therefore,the positive
effect of this legal system in the society is broadened the scope in processing in certain
 case which can lead to a successful judgement. While in the other hand,the negative
effect of this system is they will contradict with each other in the same case as well as
cant enact all laws implemented.

2. Among the legal system of policing , what is the most effective legal system that Philippines
may adopt to ensure peace and order having multicultural society?

 Among all the legal system of policing. I must say that the most effective legal system
that the Philippines will adopt ti ensure the peace and order of the society is the Mixed
Legal System.
Mixed Legal system will help the Philippines grow, since we have a different cultures,
traditions, beliefs, and religion. It is better to ensure the peace and order of each religion
because if there is a one sided legal policing to be used in Philippines that will be the
time to bring out the world inequality of each and every religion.
It is much better to have the separate legal policing system of every religion to achieve
the equal process of the law. When there is also a case commited by the person that is
written in the law that will be the time also to enter the civil law system which is based in
the written legal laws who put the both parties in a legal process to solve a particular
case.
Therefore, this legal system that I witness in the Philippines processed the case of a
person in the unbiased way.

1. Identify the strength and weaknesses of various theories and concept of Police service.

 Continental Theory's Strength and weaknesses

For me, the strength of this theory is that the police officers are maintaining their
faithfulness and loyalty to the higher authorities or those who are in Royal families which
means there's no conflict between the government and its armed men. And the
weaknesses of continental theory is the relationship between the police officers and to
the community or the people of the community lessen the maintenance of peace and
order because the police officers here are focusing on the higher authorities.
 Home-Rule Theory's Strength and weaknesses
In this theory of Police service,police are considered as servants of the community. The
strength of this theory is there's a deeper relationship between the police and the
community which means the community has the participation to lessen the crime and
to help the police to identify what, where, when, who and how the crime happen.
However,the weaknesses if this theory is the people are using their power and position
to overrule the community.
 Old Concept
This concept says that the yardstick of efficiency of the police is more on arrest. In my
opinion,the strength of this concept is that the police characteristics had being vigilant or
attentive in arresting people. Therefore, people might afraid of commiting certain crimes.
The weakness of this concept is having a possibility that the person they arrestin is an
innocent or not.
 Modern Concept
This concept says that the yardstick of effeciency of the police is the absence of crime .
The strength of this is already stated on the yardstick of effeciency of police officers
which is the primary goal is the absence of crime. However,the weaknesses of this is the
slow process of taking action of a certain crimes.

2. Discuss what theory and concept of Police service in the Philippine National Police is
practicing. Also, does this Police service practiced by the PNP efficient in maintaining
the peace and order .
 By the time that our President Rodrigo Roa Duterte won the election and place on
his position as a President . I noticed and witnessed the biggest changes in the field
of politics in our country,the Philippines. President Duterte has a lot of programs that
help the people of the Philippines to grow and learned more about his ruling
techniques. And as we all know that the President Duterte is down to earth person
who gives his best in ruling his State.
 As we witnessed on how President Duterte's techniques in ruling our state is very
strict. He also wanted to improve the way of the police community work or to respond
to the cases immediately. The police service practicing by the Philippine National
Police when it comes to concept is the modern Concept . We all know that President
Duterte focuses on the absence of crime because he is very anger to those who
involved in commiting a crime and not to the person itself. While on the police service
theory practiced by the Philippine National Police is the home-rule theory because
there's a certain that the people of the community is participating to help the
organization of police to solve a crime.
Therefore,the ruling techniques of President Duterte in this modern era is a life
changing process as he focused on the absence of crime that he wanted to protect
his people of community from crime and violence.

1. Which policing system most likely similar if we compare to the modern policing system we
have today?

 If we compare to the modern policing system that we have today is no other than Home-
Rule Theory. Home-Rule theory where the police are servants of community which is
they are strengthening their relationship between the community and police. This is the
 system policing of Japan which is adopted by the Philippines as community oriented
policing system or the COP.
Based on my observation ,the police are focusing on the absence of crime which is the
order given by our President Duterte. He wanted them to ensure the peace and orderin
the Philippines. As time goes by,the technique of our President Duterte in ruling our
state is being a strict person as he wanted his people of community away from crime
and be a victim of a crime. Home-Rule Theory also give the people an opportunity to
participate in maintaining peace and order of the country because without the
participation of the community there will be mo progress in our country.
As I witnessed the process of ruling of our President in the Philippines together with the
help of the other part of the government is very effective and productive.We can say that
President Rodrigo Duterte is one of the vest President who ruled in the Philippines.

2. What is the significance of Policing System in the society,site major events in your daily life
that may support your answer?

 In my own point of view, the significance of these policing system to our society is that,
policemen nowadays are analyzing and criticizing every step of they are going to do
specially on the process on how to enforce all the laws in the society which leads to the
effectively of nowadays process as the President wanted them to maintain the safeties
and peace of the community.

Developing and maintaining the trusting act of their relationship in the foundation of
community policing and essential to preventing crime , terrorism, and targeted violence.
The Police officer of the law enforcer is responsible for patrolling his/her jurisdiction and
identifying situations where the law is broken .And effective officers are proactive in their
patrols.
The major event that the police organization contribute in my life and in the whole world
is, when crisis came in our life that causes a lot of damage but instead of breaking down
our daily living,the frontliners are there to protect us against the invisible and quickly to
spread enemy . Police organization is one of the frontliners who strengthen us and give
us hope to fight for this battle.
Moreover, policing system helps the community to fight for their rights against the
wrongdoers and teach them to look for their trust to the police community to guide and
protect them as they go through the path they wanted to go.
