The Hall Effect camshaft position sensor senses the Top dead center (TDC) point of the #1 cylinder in the compression stroke ,
which allows the ECU to determine when to start the injection. The trigger is mounted in the camshaft
Location : Cam sensor is placed in the Cambox housing. Torque: 8-10 Nm.
CONNECTOR:
• Remove the ECU connector and check the continuity in the wiring harness.
• Connect ECU connector and switch on the ignition and measure the input voltage on pin 1
for sensor supply Voltage.
Output voltage = ~5V DC (Pin 2)
• If faulty replace the wiring harness.
• If fault is not found and problem still persists, then replace the cam sensor.
Red/Black 12.22
Brown 0 (GND)
• Increased air gap between camshaft position sensor and the trigger wheel.
• Cam shaft position sensor mounting loosened
• FIP tappet or Cam Lobe wear check and replace if necessary

Specifications
The Crankshaft speed sensor is an inductive type sensor. It measures the speed of the trigger wheel mounted on the Fly wheel .
Crankshaft sensor produces AC voltage of different frequency based upon the speed of the engine. Along with the engine speed ,
crankshaft speed sensor is used to measure the TDC position of the piston.
Location : Crank sensor is installed in the cylinder block and is facing towards the flywheel. Tightening torque – 5-8 Nm
Operating Temp: -30°C to 130°C
Air Gap: 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm
CHAPTER 8 SENSOR CHECKING PROCEDURE PAGE 38
Inspection Method
Measure the resistance between Pin 1 & 2 at sensor end male connector.
• Resistance = 860 ± 10% Ω
• Measure output voltage pin 1 (In sensor fitted condition) to be >700mV during cranking.
If any value is faulty, Replace the sensor
Specifications
Nominal Voltage: From ECU: 5V DC
Operating Temp: - 40 °C to +130 °C
System Absolute Pressure: 1-3 bar
CHAPTER 8 SENSOR CHECKING PROCEDURE PAGE 42
Inspection Method
• Resistance = 4.7 kΩ
• Measure the resistance between Pin 2 & 3 at sensor end.
•Refer the table for resistance value with respect to temperature.
• Refer the table for resistance value with respect to temperature.
If any value is faulty, replace the sensor.
Connector
• Ensure the connection to the sensor is made and measure the value using back probe PIN 1 and PIN 4 (GND) for pressure
signal.. Check continuity between the following sensor connector and ECu connector.
If faulty replace the wiring harness.

The AMF temperature sensor is a variable resistor whose resistance changes as the temperature of the air
flowing past the sensor changes.(NTC resistor) When the intake air temperature is low, the sensor
resistance is high; when the intake air temperature is high, the sensor resistance is low.

Supply Voltage: 12V
Location: It is located next to Air Filter and before to Turbo charger
CHAPTER 8 SENSOR CHECKING PROCEDURE PAGE 44
Inspection Method
• Remove the ECU K connector and check the continuity in wiring harness.
• Measure the supply Voltage (VS=12V) between the pins 2 & 3 in wiring harness side, by connecting the ECU
connector and disconnecting the connector from sensor. Also ensure that Ignition key in ON position.
• If faulty replace the wiring harness.
• If fault is not found and problem still persists, then replace the sensor.
