GENERL DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Name of Work : Design, SITC of Split Air Conditioning For Phase -2 Building At
SAMEER Kharghar

SAMEER intends to invite tender for the above-mentioned work from eligible and listed
agencies. The agencies are advised to inspect and examine the site and its surroundings
thoroughly and satisfy him/them before submitting the tender.
The tenderer shall be deemed to have full knowledge of the site and requirements. The
SAMEER shall not be liable for any compensation consequent any misunderstanding or
otherwise.
The complete job should be done as per standards and time-to-time instructions from
engineer-in- charge.
The agency should VARIFY detailed heat load calculations for each rooms to ascertain the
load variations, operational flexibility, fresh air quality requirements, RE-heating calculations
and other arrangements etc. offer which is not accompanied with proper calculations and
designs shall be summarily rejected.
The offers of contractors who have already executed similar works shall only be considered.
Similar works means the split air- conditioning installation work.
The building is equipped with following major rooms, which are to be air-conditioned.
1. SERVER ROOM (First Floor) 5. WORK STATION
2. PRE-MILLING ROOM. 6.Part portion of Linac Packaging room
3. INSPECTION ROOM
4. PRE-TURNING ROOM.

The above-specified rooms are to be air conditioned with most modern type of equipment
and system configuration with adequate flexibility in operation and maximum energy
efficiency.
The system design should be as per the basis of Design mentioned herewith.
Equipment considered in this tender are indicative type and the BOQ attached here
considering item required.
Items required for the work other then considered in the BOQ are to be listed separately and
need to be clarified in pre bid meeting.
The scheduled quantities are tentative actual quantities will be measured and payments will
be made accordingly.
The tenderer should include all the items, which are required for smooth completion of work
and guarantee period. Whether it is not included in the tender schedule or not the deviation /
addition in the schedule quantities should be clearly mentioned in the technical bid.
No item, which is not in the schedule of item, will be paid without the approval of competent
authority.
In case of extra / substitute item are to be carried out without specified approval the same
will not be paid.
The agency should design; SITC and comprehensive guarantee the complete system for a
period of one year from the date of COMMISSIONING OF the system to the user.

SPECIFIC SCOPE OF WORK
Name of work: - Design, SITC of Split Air Conditioning for Phase -2 Building At SAMEER
Kharghar

SCOPE:-
Design, Manufacture, Supply, Installation, Testing, Commissioning and guarantee for PHASE-II
building at SAMEER Kharghar. The building is equipped with Vital equipments in various rooms
where air conditioning to be done in such a manner that the operation and maintenance of Ac
system is not disturbing the normal workings of rooms, the AC equipments shall be installed in a
suitable location so that the maintenance staff can attend the system without entering to the
conditioned rooms. The Ac system shall be selected to keep maximum flexibility in operation .The
Air conditioning system shall be operated from the respective rooms.

ROOM CONDITIONS:
Temperature in all the rooms should be maintained in between 74- 77F with an air filtration of 20
microns and 5microns for all rooms & RH 50 + / - 10%.

Electrical Distribution Panel and Cabling
Cabling
a. Power and control cabling shall be through existed ladder type trays. Where two or more
cables are laid together the cables shall be properly de rated

b. When cables pass through pipes PVC bushes shall be provided at both the ends.
c. When cables are required to pass through floors or walls, pipe inserts shall be provided and
openings sealed are in approved manner.

d. All cables shall be terminated at both the ends with glands conductors shall be crimped in to
lugs to ensure no in due temperature rise occurs at the joints.
Testing :-
The complete electrical installation should be tested with megger for its insulation resistance
before energizing the system. The measured value should be kept in proper record.
