Frank has the case of Mondays. What
do you think it means?

Intro

Do you have to go back to work and work routine on

Monday? Do you feel stressed and upset about it? Do
you believe that Monday is the worst day of the week?
If your answer is “yes” to all three, you’ve got the case
of Mondays or Monday Blues. And you’re not alone.
According to a study by Marmite in 2011, the average
person in the UK does not smile on a Monday until
11.16 am. To change the sad statistics, we offer you a
list of things you can do to energize your Monday!
1 Plan A Lunch With A Friend
You feel better about your day if you are with people who make you happy.

2 Take A Class
Mondays can be hard because you don’t do things you like. Go to a fun class after work with a friend or two.

3 Do Something Nice For A Coworker

Offer to help a coworker with a task or pay for their lunch when you, guys, go out. Helping others is one of
the best ways to make you peppy.

4 Focus On The Positive Things About Your Job

Stop thinking about things that make you crabby. Concentrate on what you love about your job to help fight
those Monday Blues.

5 Have A Rest At The Weekend

Some people do some work at the weekend because they’re sure it can make their Mondays easier. But the
result is just the opposite: they feel exhausted because they work non-stop and they don’t rest at all.

6 Dress Up
On Sunday night, choose your favourite clothes for Monday, because if you look good, you feel good!

7 Listen To Music
Listening to happy music can change your mood for the better. Bring your headphones with you and listen to
your favourite tunes on the way to work.

8 Watch A Cat Video

Watching silly cat videos makes you happy, says the study from the Indiana University Media School. And
when you are happy, you are more productive!

9 Smile More
Smile even if you don’t want to. The effect is the same: you feel better than before!
Read the rest of the article and
complete the sentences.
