 Introduction
Automatic Railway Gate Control System is a simple but very useful
project, which includes opening and closing the railway gate
automatically upon detecting the presence of the train.

In general, Railway gates are opened or closed

manually by a gate keeper. The information
about arrival of train for opening or closing of
the gate is received from nearby station. But
some railway crossings are totally un-manned
and many rail accidents occur at these un-
manned level crossings.
 Objectives
Automatic railway gate controller-

It ensures the safety of the people that use

railway crossing, by preventing accidents.

It reduces the human reaction time for

opening and closing the gates.
It is highly reliable as it is not at the risk of
human error.

To avoid the human intervention at level

crossings completely, we need to

 Methodology
It is focusing ontwo issues. The gate is indeed kept closed when train passing
through the gate. The second concern is that the arrival of the train is
detected by the sensor located on either side of the gate, and the sensor data
signal is transmitted to the microcontroller, which inspects for the presence of
a train on track in order to close railgates. When the train passes, the second
sensor validates and opens the gate.

When train travels on IR sensor then railgate closes.

We are using connections in sensors, they are connected through wires.
It will work perfectly in clockwise and anticlockwise direction.
It provides Signal to Arduino, then gate close and open
We connect all wires according to circuit diagram.
Jumping wire is connected to sensors

 Conclusion
This is the easy to control the railway gate operation
and it reduces the occurrence of faults.

To open and close the railway gate automatically by using the

servo motor.

It avoids the railway accidents and provides safety.

The ultrasonic sensors detect the train and stuck on the level crossing
very quickly and communicate with the control unit.
