Activity 2: Through symbolism, present the development and social factors and
individual differences of learning creatively. In a short paragraph, explain the
implications of the symbolism presented.
Learning is just a rite of passage. In this picture presented above, I’ll explain why
I chose this as a symbol. Well, we develop our skills whether in school or in the nature of
environment and the social factors that affects our learning, the kid’s learning is, might
because of the individual differences. We learn from each other, we adapt each other’s
knowledge and yah as you can see at the pic, they are different from each other, some are
artist, some are mediocre, painter and yet they learn effectively and creatively just because
sometimes differences and authenticity aint bad.
CHALLENGE
The key is applying. Teacher training must have included psychology. The learner-
centered principles are well understood. But being able to apply is more important because
the applied principle can help the learner, make learning easier and better. A teacher just
need to tap those reserves and presto! If the student feels comfortable, accepted, given
something to be curious about, gets help where needed but not too much, there might have
love (always) at learning.
When dealing with human beings, even well educated human beings, there are no
guarantees. As far as teaching goes, experience is perhaps the best way to improve your
abilities. Student motivation is always the essential ingredient to mentoring a successful
student. The tough part is that motivation comes from within. There can be numerous
mitigating factors creating obstacles that can make implementing learner centered principles
extremely difficult. The teacher must navigate the belief system and perception of the
student. In cases where the student comes from a home skeptical of the value of learning it
may not be possible to have a total success, but every teacher should be laying the
groundwork that may spell success for another teacher down the line. If, and when the
student’s learning interest is sparked and they become motivated , nothing can stop them
from learning.
The effectiveness of any teacher dependent on the person. Even though the length of
time teaching provides opportunity for experience and on-going learning - there is a huge
difference between a teacher who has passion for their work, values education, feels a desire
to build up children and societies, is willing to work hard and constantly learn and replace
actions with those that are later found to be better. Many things can impact the effectiveness
of a teacher, but the bottom line is their soul - and how they use all of those things that can
positively impact them

1. Interview a new and seasoned teacher in your school. List his or her practices in terms of
implementing the learner-centered principles of learning. Which among his or her practices,
do you believe, is the best or is most effective?
2. Search for and download an article or study on teachers' best practices along
with conducting an assessment to a diversity of learners. Which among these
practices do you believe is very effective?
Many teaching strategies work for any classroom, no matter what the age of the
students or the subject. When a teacher implements a combination of effective teaching
strategies, their students have more opportunities to perform better in class.
For me, two of the most effective practices are; model as you teach and work as a
team, because, Some students will need to see more than one example to get a good
understanding and working as a team can help the student to succeed.
