Fill the gaps with past verb forms

Last year, I ______ on holidays to the Alps with a group of friends.

One day, we ______ a mountain and it _____ about two hours to get to the top.

When we ____ there, we _____ lunch.

The view ___ amazing - we _____ see the sea in the distance.

We ______ photos and just ___ in the sun for a while.

Then we went down again.

When we _____ back to the car, I wanted to take another photo but I _______ find
my phone - it ______ in my bag!

I _______ "Oh, no! It's probably at the top of the mountain". I decided to go back up
the mountain to get it because I _______ want to leave my phone up there.

My friends _____ "But you can't go on your own".

So in the end we all _____ up again, which was another two hours.

When we got to the top, we _____ about half an hour looking for the phone, but we
_____find it anywhere.

Then it started to get colder, so I _____ my jacket out of my bag and...my phone
____ in my jacket pocket!

I ______ terrible and really stupid!
