Science  Home Science is the application of sciences and art
towards achieving better, healthier and happier homes.
 Home science is concerned with the attainment of the
well being of individuals and families.
 Home science is all about managing your resources
efficiently.
 It leads to healthier and happier life.
Home ▹ Home science education prepares youth for the greatest
Science of all vocation.
▹ It orients young girls and boys towards preparation for
several professions- teaching, nursing, dietetics, research,
welfare, management, art application, extension work
and communication.
▹ It also deals with the understanding of sound scientific
principles and their application in various situations.

Science Home Science Subjects are built as a synthesis of the Arts and
Science to solve everyday problems of family life. These are:
1. The Physical Sciences including physics and chemistry with
their application in nutrition, textiles, health, home nursing,
home management and household equipment.
2. The biological sciences-including bacteriology, physiology and
hygiene with their application.
3. The Social Sciences including economies, sociology, civics and
psychology with their application in home management,
household and consumption economics, child development,
family relationships.
4. The fine Arts with their application in having home furnishing
and interior decoration.
