Mrs. Odong is disappointed because of her daughter’s performance. She decides to talk
to the Headteacher of her daughter’s school. Read the conversation between her and
the Headteacher of the school.
Headteacher: Good morning, may I help you?
Mrs. Odongo: Yes Madam, I have a problem with my daughter.
Headteacher: Which daughter, which class and what is the problem?
Mrs. Odongo: Jean Odong in P5N. Her performance has gone down. She used to get
aggregate 4 or 5 and worst 6. But now she got 13 in one monthly exams and
last month she got 15.
Headteacher: That is a big decline. What do you think is the problem?
Mrs. Odongo: I don’t know Madam. That is why I’m here to find out.
Headteacher: Do you supervise her work? Does she do all her homework?
Mrs. Odongo: Of recent, I have been busy and I always come back home when I am tired.
Headteacher: How about her father? Can’t he supervise the work?
Mrs. Odongo: He is not around. He stays in U.K. But one time I found her watching the T.V.
Headteacher: Mrs. Odong, since she knows that you are too busy, I think she has relaxed.
Mrs. Odongo: What can I do now?
Headteacher: We shall invite her and talk to her, but it is better you also encourage her to
work harder. Let us work hand in hand.
Mrs. Odongo: Thank you Madam. I shall try, bye.
