General Physics 1 Fluid Mechanics

The document provides an overview of topics covered in General Physics 1, including fluid mechanics, ideal gas law, Hooke's law, kinetic energy, potential energy, sinusoidal waves, and temperature conversions. Fluid mechanics is governed by Bernoulli's equation relating pressure, speed, and elevation. The ideal gas law defines the relationship between pressure, volume, temperature, and number of moles of an ideal gas. Hooke's law expresses the proportional relationship between the displacement of a spring and the restoring force applied.

GENERAL PHYSICS 1 REVIEWER PART 2

 FLUID MECHANICS
 In an ideal fluid flow, the pressure, speed, and elevation of a fluid at any point is governed by the Bernoulli equation. Higher fluid speeds are
associated with lower fluid pressures and higher fluid elevations are associated with lower fluid pressures.
 The pressure determines how much liquid is being filled.
 Specific gravity - is the ratio of a material's density with that of water.

 IDEAL GAS LAW - defined as one in which all collisions between atoms or molecules are perfectly elastic and in which there are no intermolecular
attractive forces. It obeys all gas laws related with temperature and pressure. The volume occupied by the molecules is negligible, compared to total
volume occupied by the gas while the force of attraction among the molecules are negligible.
