A BIBLICAL WALK THRU THE MASS

St. John’s in Princeton has begun a scriptural tour thru the
prayers, hymns, and rituals of the Liturgy. Practically every part
of Mass finds its inspiration in Scripture. The program consists
of five 30-minute video presentations. A session will be shown
each Sunday after the 8 AM Mass. The program begins
approximately 8:50 AM.

Session #2 (March 5) – “The Introductory Rites”.

No signup is necessary. Study guides will be available to
those who would like one.

to abstain from meat on Ash Wednesday and all Fridays in Lent,
including Good Friday.
Catholics who have celebrated their 18th birthday and are
under 59 years of age are bound to fast on Ash Wednesday and
Good Friday. Ash Wednesday and Good Friday Fasts: only one
full meatless meal is allowed. Two other meatless meals,
sufficient to maintain strength, may be taken according to each
one’s needs, but together they should not equal another full meal.
Eating between meals is not permitted on these two days. When
health or ability to work would be seriously affected, the law does
not oblige. Catholics should not lightly excuse themselves from
these prescribed minimal penitential practices.
