was founded in 1974 by Alfred Heichel in Babenhausen (DE), one year later the first
foundation rig was introduced. In 2000 the company ABI grows after they have overtaken
the Delmag company, a manufacturer of drilling rigs and hammers. In 2003 the swedish
company Banut was overtaken. The current products are drilling- and pile rigs, mostly with a
Sennebogen base machine.

Banut was a swedish manufacturer or piling rigs with hydraulic hammers. In 2003 Banut was
overtaken by the ABI group, the name and the products were kept; the production was moved to
Niedernberg (DE). Currently Banut offers three differnt types of piling rigs.

Etecis the own brand of the trading company H.J. van Vliet from Waddinxveen (NL). The
company was founded in 1958 by P. van Vliet. Etec is producing mainly wheeled excavators
and excavators on crawlers up to a 50 tonne weight.

Hillcon is a manufacturer of piling rigs and is located in Beilen (NL). It is part of the CAPE
group, that manufacturers add-on parts for the foundation work like vibrators and power packs.

Hitachi was founded in 1910 as store for electronic parts. In 1949 was the first earthmoving
machine delivered, a mechanical shovel. The first crane was deloveped in 1971. That was the
first hydraulic crawler crane with type KH150. The name KH should exist untill 1994, then the
CX-series were built. De heaviest crane of the KH-series is the 200 tonne KH1000 and for the
CX-series the CX2000, also a 200 tonne crane. Hitachi as word means sunset in Chinese.
Hitachi Sumitomo exists since 2002 when Hitachi and Sumitomo went together. The first
developed cranes have the name SCX, based on the names of SC and CX used by Sumitomo
and Hitachi. The main office is located in Shanghai (Japan). At this moment they are making
several crawler cranes between 40 and 600 tonne capacity.

IHC Fundex arises in 1999 after IHC, manufacturer of i.a. pile hammers, takes over the Fundex
company a manufacturer of drilling rigs. Fundex was founded in the sixties and produces the
first drilling rig in 1968. At that time weren't many drilling rigs on the market available to work
with heavy rotary heads. The largest machine build by IHC Fundex at the moment is the F5600
with a mass of around 280 tonnes. The company is located in Goes (NL).

Junttan was founded in 1976 in Kuopio, Finland. Junttan not only builds piling rigs, also
hammers, power packs and drilling heads. The first rig is built in 1979. The wel-known PM 20 is
built since 1983 and one jear later the first rig was exported. In 2000 a completly new
construction hall was built where in 2007 the 1000th hydraulic hammer was built and a year
later the 500th piling rig. In 2010 was the PMx20 introduced as succeser for the PM 20. The
biggest product is the PM 30 with a mass of 110 tonnes.

Kobelco has an history starting in 1905. Then Kobe Steel Ltd. was founded, which is still the
mother firm. Since 1930 are the first Japanese machines built, mainly excavators. From 1955
are together with P&H cranes built. Meanwhile exists the production line out of crawler cranes,
mobile (city) cranes and offshore cranes. The heaviest crane ever built is the SL13000, an 800
tonne crane. At the moment are about 530 people working by Kobelco and cranes are build up
to 600 tonnes in the workshop in Okubo (JP). Kobelco cranes are very well-known because they
are very reliable and not often have malfunction.

Liebherr was founded by Mr. Hans Liebherr (1915 - 1993) in 1949 in Kirchdorf (DE). After the
second world war he developed a tower crane that was easy to transport and to put up. The
question for these cranes was growing fast, the company also. Since 1954 he built also
hydraulic excavators, followed by fridges, shovels, mobile cranes and concrete mixers. In 1958
about 2,400 people are working by Liebherr and the turnover is about 40 million Euros. Because
of many take overs the company grows faster, in employees and turnover. In 1968 are almost
6,000 employees working in Liebherr and the turnover is about 200 million Euro. On the 7th of
octobre of 1993 the founder died, the second generation Liebherr takes over the business.

MAIT is an italian manufacturer of foundation rigs and cranes. The company is based in Osimo
(IT) and was founded in 1952.

RTG was founded in 1996 as a subsidiary company of Bauer from Schrobenhausen (DE). RTG
develops and sales foundation rigs with leader for vibrating, drilling, pressing and driving piles
into the ground. The largest rig, the RTG 27 S, has a maximum weight of more than 100 tonnes.
RTG rigs are produced in Aresing (DE).

Sennebogen is founded in 1952 by Mr. Erich Sennebogen at the age of 21. The first products
were machines for the agriculture, quicly followed by dung loaders - this concept was quickly
developed to mecanical cable cranes. In 1960 is the 1000st machine livered. In 1969 is the first
hydraulic cable crane made followed by the "Spezial Traegergeraete" in 1984. Those are base
machines that can be finished by the customer as drilling rig. In 1994 is the first telescopic crane
built on a 2-axle wheeled undercarriage. In 1998 was the 6180 introduced, the first 200 tonne
crane. On the Bauma 2010 Sennebogen introduced their 300 tonne crawler crane, type 7700.
Since the company was founded, it is located in the German place Staubing.

Woltman from Giessenburg (NL) is a manufacturer of piling rigs and heavy duty cranes. The
largest machine ever built by Woltman is the THW A-3000 PDS, a 300 tonne heavy duty crane
that can be used as piling rig with a capacity of 100 tonnes in the 60 meter leader as well. Since
2016 is Woltman part of the Dieseko Group from Oosterhout (NL).
