-This type of writing explains a short theme, idea, or an issue. It is a


personal response to anything and is usually three paragraphs long.
-It educates readers by imparting straightforward information, facts, and
details on a certain topic.
-Gives them a new understanding or new appreciation of some topics
which one might be familiar.

Types of Informative Writing

Essay Pro’s Parts of an Informative Essay (I + MID + C)

1st Paragraph
I = Introduce the topic using words from the prompt. Then write a
thesis statement that contains all the main ideas you want to write
about.

2nd Paragraph
MI = 1st Main Idea sentence; Begin with: First.
D = Details; Use text evidence to prove your point.

3rd Paragraph
E. Discussing new MI = 2nd Main Idea sentence; Begin with: In addition.

How to Travel Solo Successfully


 The first way to travel solo successfully is to arrive well-informed on
the area.
 Use money belt as a purse not for storage. Keep your passport, extra
stores of money, and other documents in a theft-resistant bag.
 Freya Stark once said, “To awaken quite alone in a strange town is one
of the most pleasant sensations in the world.”
 It may pose perils here and there, but a little preparation and common
sense can get you through the rough spots.
 In terms of fun, pack for your lack of companionship. Bring a blank
journal to record your adventures. Pack a paperback to enjoy while you
wait out a rainstorm in a coffee shop.
 As solo travel can be the ultimate in self-indulgence, learning how to do
