UPTET Syllabus
UPTET syllabus comprises topics of Paper I and Paper II. The UPTET Paper I syllabus
contains topics from Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II,
Mathematics and Environmental Studies and UPTET Paper II syllabus contains topics
from Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics and
Science or Social Studies/Social Sciences.

UPTET Syllabus for Paper-I


The UPTET Paper I comprises a total of 150 multiple choice questions (MCQs). The
questions are asked from five subjects- Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I,
Language-II, Mathematics and Environmental Studies. Each question carries 1 mark and
there is no negative marking. The detailed syllabus is provided below:

Child Development and Pedagogy


In the Child Development and Pedagogy section, 30 MCQs will be asked from the
following topics:

Child development concept Learning and pedagogy

Teaching and learning Inclusive education guidance and


disciplines counseling

Language I (Hindi)
The Language I will contain 30 MCQs from Hindi subject. Have a look at the syllabus

Mathematics
The Mathematics subject contains 30 MCQs that will test candidates' concepts, problem

UPTET Paper-II comprises four subjects- Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-

UPTET Exam Pattern


The UPTET exam is conducted offline in pen and paper mode in two separate sessions
for Paper I and Paper II. Both papers comprise 150 MCQs each and each question is of 1
mark. The time duration for each paper is 2 hours 30 minutes. There is no negative
marking. The question paper is set in bilingual format wherein questions are given
