SCHOLARSHIP

AMERICAN CARIBBEAN MARITIME FOUNDATION – FERN KHAN GRANT
Value: US$750 – US$1,000 payable for one academic year. Grant covers related educational expenses,
including boarding and auxiliary fees, uniform, transportation and meals. Grants will be offered to
students with good academic standing and compelling financial need.
The are various tuition scholarships at varying values. A webinar is scheduled for March 14, 2022, to
further discuss scholarships. Visit the ACMF jobs board for details regarding employment.
Requirements:
• Be a Caribbean national.
• Enrolled full-time or part-time at the CMU in an undergraduate degree programme.
• 2.8 GPA in the academic year prior to application.

GRACE KENNEDY FOUNDATION BURSARY
Eligibility: Full-time students from the parishes of St. Catherine, Kingston, Clarendon or St. James
(Montego Bay)
Value: US$250,000.00
Requirements:
• Must be under the age of 25 years old.
• Have an average of 3.0 GPA or above.
• Application should accompany: CMU application form and acceptance letters, one (1) page essay
on student’s educational goals, high school transcript or CMU transcript, two (2) character
reference letters, certified birth certificate or registration certificate.
• Be a person of good character, displaying leadership qualities and consistent involvement in
social/community activities.
• Should not be a holder of any other scholarship covering tuition costs.
• Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by a Joint Committee of CMU and NFE.

COURTS JAMAICA – DARE TO DREAM SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME
Eligibility: Students who excel academically, but on the basis of need and the relationship their parents
and/or guardians have with Courts Jamaica.
Requirements:
• Applicants must be accepted or be registered study of any recognized tertiary institution in Jamaica.
• New students must have at least (5) CSEC subjects and a minimum of (4) CAPE units.
• Must maintain a 3.0 GPA or B+ average.
• Must be pursuing a first degree.
Eligibility: Students residing within the communities surrounding its plant located in Eastern Kingston.

• Must be a full-time student.
• Currently residing in Kingston 2 community for a minimum of 5 years.
