1. Tell me one activity that is good for both mental and physical health.
To me, jogging is the best thing to maintain my mental and physical health. Jogging not only
keeps my body fit, but it also helps me reduce stress effectively.
I take a nap in the afternoon as part of my daily routine since I believe napping is extremely
important. It helps me refresh my mind after studying hard in the morning.
To be honest, this is not usual. I just sometimes feel sleepy when I have to be a night owl to
finish my deadline the previous night. I suppose this habit is not good because being sleepy
would make us less concentrated and lower our productivity in study and work.
I always go to bed at 11 and wake up at 6, so I get 8 hours of sleep, which is really recommended
by doctors. I realized that I have a good sleeping routine and will try my best to maintain this
habit for as long as possible.
Honestly, I don’t. I prefer talking with others directly instead of chatting through social media.
Yes, I am currently under pressure, specifically peer pressure. I know this could have a negative
effect, so I think I would need ways to overcome this.
Checking mail every morning has been my morning routine since I studied in university. Mail is
the main communication tools in university so it is important to check it regularly.
Jogging in the park is my cup of tea, and I do it every weekend or when I have free time to
maintain healthy habits.
Well, maybe sometimes or just rarely, since my house is near my university, so it just takes me a
couple of minutes to reach my class.
I set the rule for myself to only check messages at certain times, like at lunch or when I have
already finished my things. This would help me concentrate and be the most productive to
pursue my dream jobs.
I don’t often go on a holiday. I prefer to spend my holiday with my family because I am most at
ease when I am with my loved ones.
I’m super stressed at university when in the exam times. I have to do a lot of assignments and
revision to get the best result as I wanted.
Listening to music or watching a drama is the things I usually do when I have my free time.
Not really, however I used to play badminton with my friends twice a week in the past. Due to
the hectic schedule in work and study so I don’t have much time left. To maintain my health,
jogging at weekends is the only thing I do now.
Not like other people who enjoy travel and explore many different places on a holiday. I prefer
to spend my holiday with my family because I am most at ease when I am with my loved ones.
Staying at home as usual to prepare for the next semester is the only way for me to achieve my
desired outcome.
UNIT 2
1. Are you a competitive person?
I can be very competitive in work and study but also easygoing in other areas as well.
I could say I’m a competitive and ambitious person. The feeling you get when you accomplish
something you worked hard for is fantastic but difficult to describe.
Badimiton, certainly. I fell in love with it the first time I played it.
Sincerely, I don't enjoy watching sports on television. Instead than passively watching on the
TV, I rather like to participate in the incredible atmosphere when seated on a grandstand.
6. Which famous sports personality would you like to change places with
Yes. I believe sports binds people together because it fuels our tribal nature. Belonging to a
sports team provides enthusiasts with a common goal, common victory.
Do you ever disagree with a referee's decision during a game?
I'm not a big sports fan, so I don't watch them very often. However, if a referee makes a decision,
I believe they will have their reasons for deciding whether the player did something wrong or
not, and that is their professional decision, which I cannot interfere with.
My favorite sport is badminton, so my answer would be the badminton trophy, of course. Just
imagine that I hold that cup in my hand and everyone around me is cheering and congratulating
me. That is something so wonderful to me.
Honestly, I can say that I am a quick learner, so learning the rules of new games or any activities
would not be a big deal to me. All I really need to do is play that game three times to understand
it completely.
UNIT 3
What's the best way to get around your town or city?
Of course, by motorcycle. This is the most common means of transport in Vietnam due to its
convenience and quickness to learn.
Not much how ever the most common would be public bus. And maybe in the near future, my
city will have the subway too.
Because I live near my university, I just need a 5-minute walk to get there, and I don’t really
need to go by any means of transportation. However, when I hang out with my friend, we choose
to use the bus since it will help reduce the exhaust fumes and maintain a good environment.
Currently no. But HCM City will have a metro in the near future. I have been looking forward to
going once because it is something I have never experienced before.
My worst experience when traveling is when I went to An Giang, my father's hometown, for the
first time by coach when I was 5 or 6. At that time, I was carsick, and that journey was like a
nightmare to me. I'm even sick for the rest of the day when I arrive.
No, I've never stepped onto the boat with my food since I was born. I plan to go once when I am
rich enough to go on a luxury cruise and not a normal boat trip.
Certainly yes. I was really into electric cars because they are friendly to the environment and
may not cause pollution. There is a car brand called Tesla that manufactures this type of car, and
I was in love when I first saw it. One word only: spectacular.
Luckily, I live near school, so I just need to walk to my university. I have witnessed my friends
stuck in a small traffic tram just in front of my school for 10 minutes. By the way, that was truly
a nightmare.
Motobike, definetely. It is easy to drive on small roads like those in my country because it is
small, especially during rush hour. That is also the reason that these vehicles are common in my
country.
