1.7 The pipe length for line sizes greater than 6” when
obtained from isometrics would have the fitting
dimmenssions deducted from the dimension shown on
the Isometric.

2 ASSUMPTIONS & INCLUSIONS

2.1 Contigency to be considered as per MMCI std or


Project specific Information for Bulk, Intermediate and
Final MTO.

2.2 All Process vents & drains are considered as shown in


the PEFS / P&ID’s.

2.3 Vent and Drain valves for Level Gauge (LG), Y-type
and basket strainers are considered as per agreed scope
with vendor.

2.4 Hydrostatic High Point vents & Low Point drains are
considered.

2.5 Flare header and Underground drain Header Branch


tapings are considered as latrolets & not as Tee’s or in
accordance with project specific requirements.

2.6 Branches are only considered in accordance with


branching table.

2.7 All Soft Material (PTFE, Teflon etc) Seated / lined


valves are to be considered as flanged if not supplied
with pups with butt welded valves. Check revelent
Valve datasheets.

2.8 Full coupling for lines running in straight length of sizes


½” to 1½” for dismantling of Socket welded and
Screwed Galvanised Pipes.

2.9 Utility station, Eyewash and safety shower – Isolation


valves Considered.

2.10 Check and list in MTO the Lock Open (LO) & Lock
Close (LC) arrangement for Valves as per the P&ID.

2.11 Ball Valves are considered and listed as reduced bore


by default unless If marked in P&ID as Full Bore Ball
Valve.

2.12 Check sizes and end connections considered Control


valves, On-Off valves, flow meters and PSV (inlets)
with Instrumentation.

2.13 Size of Bypass valve for control valve is assumed one


size less than the main line size wherever it is not
mentioned in the PEFS / P&ID’s & kept under HOLD
unless until confirmed by the Process / Instrument.

2.14 Piping MTO for Steam Trap assemblies is considered


as per the Steam trap assembly drawings

2.15 Jack Screws Have been considered for Spade / Spacer,


Restriction Orifice Plates, etc.

2.16 Extra Long Bolts are considered for the following;

2.16.1 Spectacle Blinds and Spades and Spacers,

2.16.2 Wafer Type Valves (Check and Butterfly),

2.16.3 Restriction Orifice,

2.16.4 Inlet of PSV’s, RV’s.

2.16.5 Monoblock Flanges for SBB and DBB.

2.17 End connection for special items are to be considered


as per Datasheets & incorporated on Master P&ID’s for
any discrepencies found.

2.18 For sub-zero design temperatures, extended stem or


extended bonnet valve type is considered as per spec.

2.19 Special valves, extended spindle & extended Bonnet


valves are identified as special valves.

2.20 Mitre Bends, Pulled Bends & Fabricated Reducers to


be identified & entered as Fabricated Items in MTO if
permitted by Piping class.

2.21 Check end connection for all inline Speciality Items


with piping spec.

2.22 Vessel Trim amd Pump Trim valves are considered in


the MTO and entered separately as Vessel / Pump Trim
MTO in the Line Number Field.

2.23 All Drain Lines which do not have Line numbers are
considered in the Main line.

2.26 Rupture disc (RD) bleed valve are considered.

2.27 Material of Trunnion attachments for pipe supports on


Pipe elbows to be considered same as pipe Material and
considered in the Main Line MTO.

2.28 All Instrument end connections & scope for installation


are considered as defined and detailed in Instrument
Hook-up Sheet latest revision issued for the project.

2.29 Orifices flanges (tagged type) are assumed to be


considered in accordance with Instrument Hook up.

2.30 Check List of Special Items with respect to the P&ID’s

2.31 Check the MTO for Sampling system is considered in


accordance with P & ID or project drawing.

3.0 EXCLUSIONS

3.1 MTO for Tubing (By Instruments)

3.2 MTO for Steam Tracing system to be furnish


saperately.

3.3 Piping within packaged items under Vendor’s Scope

3.4 MTO for following is NOT considered, since it is in


“Civil” scope :

3.4.1 Sewage piping

3.4.2 Rain water piping & its downcomer.

3.4.3 Effluent floor wash drain to collection pit.

3.5 Coating, wrapping, cathodic protection or any other


underground requirements is not a part of this MTO and
shall be dealt separately.

3.6 No gaskets are considered for Rubber or Similar Soft


material lined Butterfly valves if the lining is extended
on the Valve facing in accordance to the Datasheet and
Vendor information.

3.7 Material required for commissioning and pre-


commissioning activities are excluded

3.8 MTO for Fire Fighting system to be furnish Saperately


if required

3.9 Unless otherwise specified, the flanges for coated or


Lined lines (GRE, FRP, FBE, PE, Rubber lined, etc…)
shall be a part of the spool manufactured by the
Vendor / Supplier.

3.10 Wherever spec. break between GRE and other


Materials is shown, the connecting Spacer ring,
Fastners and gasket shall be in the GRE Vendor’s
Scope of supply.

4 Maintaining of Records

4.1 P&ID wise Hold List is Prepared and included in the


Basis to be passed on to Project / Client alongwith the
MTO.

4.2 A Master copy of all yellow highlighted and red


commented set of P&ID’s, Plans & Layouts, Piping
Specifications and Instrument Hook up used for the
MTO is preserved mentioning the MTO Stage and issue
date on it.

4.3 Master copy of any other inputs required for MTO like
sketches, contingency table, correspondence .
