Kings the title of Pharaoh. Tutankhamun lived from 1370 BC- 1352 BC. His original
name was Tutankhaten and later changed it to Tutankhamun which means ‘living
image of Amun’. During his short reign of nine years, he brought back the old laws
and ways of life which have been shattered by the previous King Akhenaten. He was
the last heir of a powerful dynasty that had ruled Egypt for centuries. His unexpected

Egypt. His death is being questioned till today, but no definite answer is found yet.
His tomb was discovered in 1922 by a British archaeologist named Howard Carter.

blazing sunlight to loosen it and heated it to 149 degrees Fahrenheit but nothing
happened. So, at last he had no choice but to used the chisel to raise the King’s
remains from the coffin. By doing this, Carter’s men removed the mummy’s head
and severed nearly every major joint. Once they had finished, they reassembled the
remains on a layer of sand in a wooden box with padding that concealed the damage.
