HOB Analysis is primary tool in personnel management. In this method, a personnel manager
tries to gather, synthesizes and implement the information available regarding the workforce in the
concern. A personnel manager has to undertake job analysis so as to put right man or right job.

of how job fits into the company. It should point out in broad terms the jobs goals, responsibilities
and duties. FIRST write down the job title and whom that person will report to. SECOND develop a
job statement of summary describing the positions major and minor duties. And LAST define how
the job relates to other positions in the company, which are subordinate and which are of equal
responsibility and authority.

I agree because job analysis is the cornerstone of HRM practice, because it provides solid
information about jobs that is used to hire and promote people, establish, wages determine training
needs. Job analysis is the process of obtaining information about jobs by determine the duties task
or activities of these jobs.
2. What method of job analysis do you think would be most applicable for jobs in a food
chain or a mall/ department store?
The best job analysis method that can be applied in a large grocery store. This is because
questionnaires are easy to design and can be filled very fast by the employee hence saving time and
resources. There so many methods or ways in analyzing jobs that is applicable in food chain industry
and or mall/ department store or called retail industry. Job analysis depends in human resource
department who conducts interviews for applicant. This job analysis is useful tool to hire talented
people, this analysis can be applied in some other company not only fast food or department store.
