    META-ETHICS

    SITUATION:
    You’re a doctor, you and your colleague are in operation. Your colleague causes a
    medical malpractice or an negligent act that causes the patient to die. Your situation is: will you
    tell the family of the patient about the errors of your colleague while you and your colleague
    were treating the patient or you will lie to prevent your colleague from being put in a jail?

    NORMATIVE ETHICS

    I would tell the truth to the patient’s family regardless of what would happen to my
    colleague and me.

    APPLIED ETHICS

    I would cooperate with the police for the investigation of the crime.
