Second Grade
There was an English teacher named Susana. She used to read mystery
stories to her students.

4
She had a notebook, in which she wrote mystery stories about herself,
but never read it in class.

5
Second Grade
One day, she dropped her notebook on the way to recess. One of her
students picked it up and ran to show it to his classmates.

Look what I found!

What?

6
Come here and look at this notebook. It's the teacher's!

Oh, let's find a secret place where we can read it.

I know a place, follow me.

7
Second Grade
In that secret place, they started to read
the most exciting mystery stories.

Listen to this story, “My grandma

disappeared while boating and… “

Oh, I've heard that story before,

but I didn't know it was the
teacher's grandma.

Wow I can't believe that happened

to her grandma.

8
Another story is about a cat
that turned into a fox and is
still living with our teacher.
Oh no, recess is over! We
have to go back to the
classroom.

9
Second Grade
Entering the classroom, they found the teacher searching everywhere
for her notebook.

They didn't say anything about it, but started asking her some strange
questions.

Does your grandmother live with you?

No, she doesn't. Why are you asking?

I was just wondering.

During the class, they were talking about animals and then Terry asked
the teacher a strange question.

12
Excuse me, do you have a fox in your house?

Why are you asking me that?

I thought I saw a fox outside your house the other day.

When Terry asked that, the teacher acted surprised and then she asked:
“Did you read my notebook?” The students looked at each other and
the teacher guessed that they had her notebook.

13
Second Grade
Andrea stood up and said: "It was Peter, who found your notebook and
we read about your cat that turned into a fox."

The teacher couldn't believe what she was hearing and walked quickly
towards Peter.

15

Where's my notebook, Peter?

Peter shyly pulled the notebook out from under his desk and gave it to her.

17
Second Grade
You should never pick up something that isn't yours and keep it,
Peter.

I'm sorry teacher.

Now that you have read some of my stories. I will read you the
others, but don't tell anybody.

Oops! Class is over. I'll read the rest of the story tomorrow.

Noooooo!

See you tomorrow! she said, with a smile on her face.
