This Agreement is made this day of , 20 between

, and having its postal address as , (hereinafter referred to as “CAR

OWNER” which expression shall where the context so requires or admits include its appointees and assigns) of the other
part.
And
, and having his residential address as , (hereinafter referred to as

“DRIVER” which expression shall where the context so requires or admits include its appointees and assigns) of the other
part.
AND WHEREAS, the Driver has requested the Car Owner to give the said vehicle on a “LEASE” basis to
enable the Driver to carry on the business of a commercial Driver for ride hailing platforms namely Uber,
Yango and Bolt etc . Upon full payment of the agreed weekly sales, the Driver assumes responsible of the said
vehicle, All the same the said vehicle shall remain the property of the Car Owner.
AND WHEREAS, the Owner has agreed to do so on the following terms and conditions agreed upon between the
parties.
1. The Owner agrees to give and deliver over to the Driver the said vehicle described in the Schedule
hereunder written on “LEASE” on the terms and conditions hereinafter mentioned and pursuant to the
said Agreement the Owner has delivered possession of the said vehicle to the Driver.
2. The Driver confirms that he has inspected the said vehicle before taking possession and is satisfied
that it is in good and working condition and acknowledges delivery of the same to him by the Car Owner
and agrees to hold it on the terms and conditions hereinafter mentioned.
3. The “weekly sales” price of the said vehicle fixed at GH₵400 is accepted by both the parties hereto.
4. During the pendency of this agreement the Driver shall pay to the Car Owner a minimum weekly
amount of GH₵400 towards the defrayment of the above listed vehicle. The first of such
payments is to be made a week after the execution of this agreement, specifically the ___ day of , 20
, and each subsequent weekly payment will be made every Saturday Evening. The payment will be
made by cash or through mobile money. The Car Owner will provide a receipt of payment with each
amount and an electronic statement on the 1st of every month to the following email address/number
___________________ furnished by the Driver.

5. During the pendency of this agreement the Driver shall keep the said vehicle in good working
condition. The Driver shall maintain the said vehicle as recommended by the Car Owner’s mechanic.
6. The Driver shall permit the Owner and persons authorized by the owner to have access to the said
vehicle for the purpose of inspecting the condition thereof every two weeks. In case the Driver fails or
neglects to cause the said vehicle to be repaired or kept in a proper state of repair, the Car Owner shall
be entitled to seize or cause the said vehicle to be seized and to get the same repaired and to keep the
said vehicle in his custody till the Driver pays the bills for repair of the said vehicle.
7. The Driver is to make sure the vehicle is parked at the car owners premises every Saturday evening.
8. The Driver is not to miss sales continuously for two weeks and incase he cannot make sales he is
expected to inform the car owner and also make sure sales is done before the next date for sales making
.

9. The Driver proposes to use the said vehicle for the purposes agreed in and around the Greater Accra
Region and Kasoa in the Central region and undertakes not to drive the same to any other place without
the prior consent of the Car Owner.
10. The Driver agrees to indemnify and keep Indemnified the Car Owner against claims by third
parties arising from accident caused by the said vehicle throughout the pendency of this agreement.
11. The Driver agrees NOT to; sell, assign, pledge, mortgage, underlet, lend or part with the
possession of the said vehicle and NOT allow the said vehicle to be used by anybody else or kept or
detained or run for the use of any other person.
12. The Driver agrees to not use or permit or suffer the said vehicle to be used in contravention of
any law for the time being in force.
13. The Driver shall keep the Comprehensive Insurance and “Roadworthy” certificates of the
said vehicle up to date and in the name of the Car Owner during the pendency of this agreement.
14. If the Driver violates any of the terms of this agreement, the agreement is hereby terminated
and the Driver is liable for 100% of the remaining balance payable within thirty (30) days or return the
said vehicle to the Car Owner in good condition. Failure to do so will ensure court action by the Car
Owner.
15. The parties hereby admit that this agreement has been fully explained to them and they have
understood the meaning of all the clauses of this agreement and they have signed this agreement with
full understanding of the obligations herein.

this Agreement on the days and dates set out below, and certify that they have read, understood, and agreed to
the terms and conditions of this Agreement set forth herein. The effective date of this Agreement is the date of
the signature last affixed to this page.
