The final round of the singing contest is going to commence any minute from now. All the contestants
and the guests are invited to come inside the hall and take your seats. Thank you.  
Assalamu’alaikum, wr., wb. A very good afternoon I bid to all of you.  
 
On behalf of the organizing committee of this Language Carnival 2023, we warmly welcome all of you
today to Final Singing Contest. Different people in history have shown us how dreams can and do
become a reality. This competition has provided each and every finalist a platform to explore their
passion in music and showcase their talents. I assure you that this program will be full of fun and
excitement and will create some beautiful memories for us all. It is right to say “Days are not lost when
memories are created.” 
 
Without further ado, allow us to start the final round of this solo singing contest. First of all, I would like
to introduce you to all the honourable judges of this final round. The first judge is Ibu Mariska, M.Sn as
the chief judge. The next person beside her is Bapak Ibnu Jayyid, as the second judge. And the person
next to him is Bapak Aksan Suherman as the third judge. All the judges’ decisions are final and individual
marks will not be disclosed.  
 
Ladies and gentlemen, for your information, there will be 5 finalists in this final round. They were taken
out of 45 contestants in the preliminary round. In this final round, each contestant will be judged on the
song selection, voice quality, rhythm, pronunciation, and their stage acts.  
 
INVITING THE PERFORMER
Well, everybody! Now, the wait is over. Let us begin the contest with our first contestant. Please give
a big hand to welcome our first performer to sing a song entitled ………….

Alright, ladies and gentlemen, all the contestants have delivered their performances. What beautiful
voices all the contestants have, and their music will live on as proof of their talents. And I believe you
guys all agree. Keep up the great work! We are taking a short break to give time to our honorable
judges to calculate the scores. The result will be announced shortly. 
 

Attention to all the audiences. 

Now we would like to happily announce the winners of today’s contest. Starting from the third place,
please give a big round of applause to (name) for winning the third place. Congratulations! Next, the
second place goes to (name), congratulations! It is time to announce the most awaited one, the first
winner, congratulations to (name) for being the best of the best.

READING PROFILE OF TWO INSTITUTIONS (UNIT 4)

Excellency, distinguished guests, delegates, ladies and gentlemen, Telkom University is a leading
private university in Indonesia with seven schools and forty study programs. We are committed to
becoming a research and entrepreneurial university to contribute the most to society. On the other
hand, Universiti Malaysia Kelantan’s principle is to offer quality and relevant academic programs and
training, high value commercial research and innovation, effective and efficient services, with high
priority in providing conducive environment and fulfilling social responsibility. This shared vision with
our fellow university, Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, leads us to sign an agreement for a student
exchange program. This program is expected to provide a lot of benefits for students from both
universities. One of them is that the program will offer the students exposures to a new culture which
enables them to learn new perspectives.
