To Be Or Not Be Vaccinated
COVID-19 has become a worldwide human pandemic and economic devastation. Most
governments have put into practice lockdown measures, restricted international travel, and
implemented other containment measures to relieve the death rates from the virus. In the United
States, there have been a total of 82,488,517 cases and 1,017,093 deaths worldwide
(worldometers.info). At the time, doctors and nurses could not find any drug to fight the virus.
As of early 2021, there has been an extraordinary fast track path adopted in research by the
World health community for creating an effective and safe vaccine. These vaccines offer ways to
transition out of the phases of the pandemic, which are the Pfizer and the Moderna vaccine.
With the vaccine under way or on the horizon in most countires, “some may be considering
making the Covid vaccine mandatory in order to increase vaccination rates and to achieve public
health goals” (COVID-19 and mandatory vaccinations). Although some people consider making
the vaccine mandatory, there is a tremendous publicity around Covid-19 raising concerns on the
current rush to deploy and mandate vaccines. The Covid-19 vaccine should not be obligated
since there is no evidence on whether it is safe or not; making a vaccine mandatory would violate
a person's human rights, the lack of long-term testing was just to earn more cash for the
The Covid vaccine is set to prevent people from getting the virus, but there is no evidence on
whether the vaccine is safe to get. According to “ Is the COVID-19 Vaccine Safe”, it states that

the “Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are strongly recommended as safe and effective at preventing
illness or death from COVID-19” (Covid Vaccine Safety). Well, if the vaccine prevents people
from being ill and deceased, then why are people still getting the virus and the increased rate of
deaths. According to the article “Breakthrough Infections”, it states that “most people who get
COVID-19 are unvaccinated. However, since vaccines are not 100% effective at preventing
infection, some people who are fully vaccinated will still get COVID-19” (Breakthrough
Infections). Even though vaccines won’t always keep you from catching the virus, they'll make it
much more likely you end up with mild symptoms like congestion, a sore throat, and fatigue,
rather than a hospital stay. A lot of people have health conditions such as diabetes, allergic
reactions etc., and they tend to worry about their health and wonder if they should get the
vaccine without getting ill. These vaccines were invented in early 2021 of last year. Usually,
vaccines take about 15-20 years to develop, but this one took about a year and somehow it’s the
greatest vaccine to be developed. If everyone wants to get the vaccine they are more than
welcomed to, but that does not mean that the virus will be completely gone.
A. People cannot force other people to get the vaccine, they have the right to choose
to get vaccinated if they want to. Since employees have jobs, they are forced to
show proof that they have been vaccinated in order to keep their jobs. According
Mendelson, a U.S. based law firm states “all state workers – plus workers in
health care and high-risk congregate settings – must “either show proof of full
B. The government asserts that if an employee refuses to get vaccinated, then they
must resign from their jobs. With the employees refusing to get vaccinated and
ending up leaving their jobs, companies will soon realize that it will be
