    Regulations for the Prevention of
    Pollution by Oil:

    This annex sets standards for the prevention of oil


    pollution from ships, including requirements for
    oil tankers to have double hulls, restrictions on
    discharge of oil at sea, and procedures for
    responding to oil spills.

    This annex regulates the discharge of harmful


    liquid substances carried in bulk, such as
    chemicals and other hazardous materials.
