Besides choosing a topic, you also need to find and discuss the case study of a company
engaged with the topic you have selected. The case study needs to be contained in an
academic journal or publication such a published book.

Re-sit Note:
In the case of re-sitting, the student will NOT be allowed to work on the same topic/case study
application, although the structure will remain the same. The student will have to select a new
topic/case study application for his/her re-sit, which has not been selected for any other
module in the programme.

With your report you must be able to give an answer to the following questions:
 What’s the topic you’ve chosen and what specific issue within that topic are you
focusing on?
 Why the topic is relevant and which challenges nowadays companies face in relation
to it?
 What is the extant body of knowledge about the topic you have selected?
 What are the recent trends in academic research associated to the topic?
 How did the case company engage with the topic? What sort of challenges did the
company have to confront?
 How (if applicable) did the company obtain tangible benefits from the overcoming of
the challenges?
 What are the lessons learned from the experience of the case study for generating an
impact for academics and practitioners?
 In your assignment clearly demonstrate link between theories and practices using
relevant examples where appropriate.
 What suggestions and recommendations could you provide to improve existing
challenges?

In choosing the topic and industry, you might want to consider the following factors:
