The Pre-Week Schedule to End All Pre-Week Schedules for Techs This schedule is still in progress, things may

be added or changed for certain days, depending on how much comes up that were going to need to get done Friday Sept 2nd 8:00 am - 9:00am - Meet at Goodwin Hall Rm 254 9:00am - 4:30pm - ORT Training, Day 1
Welcomes o ORT, Principal, Dean of Student Affairs, and SOARB Alcohol session o 3 parts general alcohol information, emergency outcomes, and safe hosting Speaker o This is really exciting the guy coming in is going to be talking about the importance of Orientation Week, leadership, all that fun stuff, and getting the leaders pumped for their role! Lunch o Im still working on getting this provided, so hopefully people wont have to bring their own! Mental Health o Focus on issues that can/will come up in the context of Orientation (especially transition issues) Diversity and Social Identities o Building off March training, with a focus on skills and tools that will be helpful during the week Safety, Security and Emergencies o This is being done by StuCons, QFA, and Campus Security o Talking about how do you stay safe, and what do you do when something goes wrong? Community Building o This will be done by a Residence Life Coordinator, focused on building community within a frosh group Leader expectations o The prequel to contract signing going over expectations of the role Contract signing

4:30pm - 5:00pm - Meet back at Goodwin Hall, Rm 254 - Learn Tech Groups/Trosh - Go over requirements for Frosh Groups(cheers, signs etc.) 5:30pm - 8:00pm - Free time for Dinner/Frosh Group Planning 8:00pm Onwards - 'Socializing' with Nurses Saturday Sept 3rd 8:30am - 9:00am - Meet at Goodwin Hall, Rm 254 9:00am - 4:00pm - ORT Training, Day 2
Rotation 1: What Do I Need? o This is a resource fair, to try and give leaders more information on who is there to help them (and their frosh), both during the week and beyond (so groups like the COR, Walkhome, Sexual Assault Centre Kingston, QFA, Town Gown, the International Centre, etc)

o Tables will be set up, and leaders will walk around and get information from different groups Rotation 2: What Do I Say? o Diversity and Intercultural Communication, Alcohol o This is where leaders will learn more, and practice applying, hands-on skills to talk about and deal with diversity and intercultural issues, as well as alcohol (and learn how to deal with these things in the context of being an Orientation Leader) Rotation 3: How Do I Talk About It? o Transition Issues, Mental Health o Focused on recognizing and dealing with transition and mental health issues, in the context of being a leader during Orientation Week o Again, an emphasis on tools and skills that will be helpful during the week Rotation 4: How Can We Be Friends? o Interfaculty Relations, Don Talks o Focused on well, interfaculty relations and the relationship between leaders and Dons, residence during Orientation Existere

Sunday Sept 4th 10:00am - 12:00pm - Meet at Goodwin Hall, Rm 254 - Learn Dance - Sign Contracts - Skills of a good Tech - More Cheers! - Academic Integrity 12:00pm - 2:00pm - Lunch 2:00pm - 3:00pm - Meet at Chernoff Auditorium - Reveal New Frosh Welcome!!!! - Practice New Frosh Welcome 3:00pm onwards - Free Time to Work on Frosh Groups Monday Sept 5th 9:30am - TC Breakfast Surprise - TC will be cooking breakfast for all the Techs, so be there!!! -There will be coffee, so wake up! 11:00am - 3:00pm - Time to work on signs/get lunch 3:00pm - Tech group scavenger hunt 8:00pm - Super awesome Tech Social Tuesday Sept 6th 9:30am - Meet at Goodwin Hall, Rm 254 10:30-6:00 Tech Trip ????
