Using green, make 17ch
Row 1: 1dc in second chain from hook, 1dc in
each ch to end, turn (16)
Rows 2 to 7: 1ch, 16dc, turn
Row 8: 1ch, 16dc, at the end of the row 9ch,

Row 9: 1dc in second chain from hook, 1dc in
each ch and in each st from previous row to
end, turn (24)
Row 10: 1ch, 23dc, 2dc in last stitch, turn (25)
Row 11: 1ch, 25dc, turn
Row 12: 1ch, 24dc, 2dc in last stitch, turn (26)
Row 13: 1ch, 26dc, turn

To finish
Attach the safety eyes to the front panel, 10
rows down from the top and 5 sts between
them. Using black, embroider a mouth. Place
the two panels together and sew or crochet
around the edge to join, remembering to stuff
the cactus before fastening off. Weave in any
ends.
