Introduction

Law is not law, if it violates the principles of eternal justice. Studying law offers the
opportunity to develop a range of skills and explore many aspects of human life. 2The
law gives one’s mind to sharpen, strengthen your understanding and also deepen your
experience across the full range of humanities and social sciences

Body of the essay


A law degree can open up many career fields like a producer, politician, journalist,
diplomat and a police officer, so the law degree equips you for almost any profession
that requires mental strength combined with a practical approach to the world.

Being a lawyer is rewarding and provides fulfillment when a lawyer always has justice
as their aim. Law enables one to help people fight against injustices and to protect the
vulnerable. Law graduates are generally held in high esteem by employers, they earn
good and can be able to secure living as everyone may need a lawyer at a certain point.

Becoming a good lawyer includes strong oral and written communication skills, without
these skills one struggles to carry out the duties of a good lawyer. Excellent listening
ability is one of the important skills when working with clients and also being able to
build a relationship amongst the lawyer and the client. 4 A good lawyer must have
knowledge to practices, protocols and regulations, interpersonal skills and the ability to
think critically and be able to solve a problem.

In a secondary school there’s more motivation and teachers encourage every student to
excel in their studies.5 According to University of Otago secondary school is mandatory
and usually free but the university is voluntary and comparatively expensive. In a
university the student has to be more independent, there are also new styles of
learning like the online learning programs.

Studying law may always have a great impact in your as you may have many choices of
careers that you can choose from. Always consider being a good lawyer in order to
create a profile for yourself. Your secondary school life will never be the same as the
university lifestyle.
