Today features another milestone in the lives of us students. after 6 years of secondary education,
we are now ready to advance in the next chapter of our lives. Today marks the day that we are
already going to bid our farewell to our dear Alma Mater, Mambagaton National High School which
molded us and trained us to be someone who’s ready to take and fight more challenges in the
future.
This year’s graduation theme says, “Strengthening the Quality of Education Amidst the CoVid-19
Pandemic”. Because of the pandemic, the mode of education has been a great challenge for us
students. Me, as a student, found it hard to learn in this situation especially on the first few weeks of
the distribution of the modules. It has been stressful and hard when it is not taught by our teacher.
Unlike in classroom discussions, we cannot just raise our hand and ask for examples when we can’t
understand the topic. Some students learn easily when they are just listening. And some are not
keen on reading. This situation has been a challenge for us students and the teachers. Yet we never
failed to see how our teachers strived to help us succeed this last year of ours in senior high school
regardless of the poor internet connection and delayed submission of outputs. they have done their
best to answer our inquiries as soon as possible and give us the quality education despite of this
pandemic.
Regardless of the struggles we faced in this pandemic, we students learned how to be resilient,
responsible, and independent learners. We were taught by this pandemic to strive hard despite of
any difficulties. So we graduates must not also forget to give ourselves a round of applause for
successfully coping up in this situation we are not used to.
We would like to express our gratitude and appreciation to those people who has been part of our
success. First, to our parents who never failed and who have done their best to give us the support
we need. To our Teachers, who has been with us since we came in this institution, who never failed
to be there for our questions and inquiries and who never failed to understand us and make
everything simpler. Friends, who served as a cheering squad in every event each of us is
participating to. To my fellow graduates who made my secondary education fun. To our adviser,
Mrs. Melissa Obarra who never failed to support us and reminds us to go on by sending “Graduating
kamo bala” on our group chat. And to all the faculty and staff of Mambagaton National High School.
Because of this pandemic, we may never give each other a warm hug, but let my warm thanks and
congratulations reach you.
This is not the end but a start of another chapter of our lives. May we continue to aspire to be
someone better than we are now. May we continue to reach our dreams regardless of any
challenges we may face. Until we meet again my fellow graduates. Once again, good afternoon!
Congratulations to all! And stay safe!
