uses excellent computerized information systems to manage their companies, markets,
stock indexes, and when stock should be purchased or sold to take advantage of market
discrepancies. Briefly explain what is Computer Based Information System (CBIS) and its
six components. (20)

3.1 The benefits provided by an effective Transaction Processing System (TPS), which is an
organized collection of CBIS components used to record completed business
transactions. They are tangible and justify their associated costs in computing
equipment. Satisfying the needs of managers and decision makers continues to be a
major factors in developing IS. Discuss and differentiate between Management
Information System (MIS) and Decision Support System (DSS). (10)
3.2 Information system in organization has developed and recognized almost around the
world. Organizations uses strategies and structures to develop, briefly explain
organizational structures, project organizational structure, team organization structure,
and virtual organizational structure. (10)
3.3 Computer system hardware components consist of devices that perform inputs,
processing, data storage and output. System must be able to process, organize, and
manipulate data. Central processing unit consists of three associated elements, what are
the functions of Arithmetic/Logic unit, Control unit, and Register? (5)
