 Brief Description Of Company:-

• Zentiva is a producer of high quality affordable medicines serving patients. With a dedicated team
of more than 4,700 people a network of production sites.
• The company is developing, manufacturing, and marketing wide range of generic and OTC (Over
the Counter) medicine products.
• Ankleshwar site of Zentiva manufactures both intermediates and pharmaceutical formulations.
• A large producer of tablets, Ankleshwar site manufactures more than 6 billion tablets annually.
The supplier company located in Ankleshwar, Gujarat is one of the leading manufacturer and
exporter of generic drugs to European and American provinces.
• The finalization of the deal increases the number of wholly-owned Zentiva production sites
worldwide and will enable Zentiva to serve more people who are in daily need of high quality and
affordable medicines.

Kettle Reactor:-

• Glass Lined reactors are primarily used for carrying

out critical chemical processes where corrosion
resistance and chemical inertness are of critical
importance.
• The metal reactor is corroded due to highly acidic
reaction, In zentiva glass lined reactor are used
because the reaction occur in reactor is highly acidic.

 Pressure Filter:-

• A pressure filter is a closed tank with a single

or a combination of filter media for removal of
one or several contaminants.
• Infiltration, pressure force fluid and all solutes
smaller than a certain size through a
membrane.
• High pressure filters are designed to
withstand the maximum pressure of the
system and are sized according to the specific
low rate required.

 Crystallizer:-
• Crystallization is an important technique for the
purification of solids in the chemical process
industries (CPI). The operation can be performed
batch wise or in continuous operation, and issued
for a wide variety of products, ranging from sugar,
salts and other bulk chemicals, to
pharmaceuticals and other fine chemicals.
• Cooling crystallization is used in API-1 plant.
• By cooling the crystal it forms the main
Ingredient.

 Centrifuge :-
• Centrifuge is highly accelerated form of sedimentation,
centrifugation is a process used to separate or concentrate
materials suspended in a liquid medium. Centrifugation uses
gravity and centrifugal force to separate particles heavier
than the liquid medium.
• CentraSep has applications in a wide variety of industries-in
general, any industry that requires separation of a
liquid/solid mixture or recovery of a solid may benefit from
the centrifugation process.
• CentraSep’ unique design and efficiency features have
made it the most reliable and durable, high-performance,
fully automatic centrifuge available today. All working
components are composed of 316 stainless steel to allow the
centrifuge to process a great number of acidic and caustic
fluids safely and reliably.
 Dryer (Nauta Dryer):-

• The Nauta conical screw dryer is a universal vacuum dryer for drying materials such as
powders, granules, pastes and viscous slurries.
• Industrial dryers are used to efficiently process large quantities of bulk materials that need
reduced moisture levels. Depending on the amount and the make up of material needing to be
dried, industrial dryers come in many different models constructed specifically for the type
and quantity of material to be processed.
• Various factors are considered in determining the correct type of dryer for any given
application, including the material to be dried, drying process requirements, production
requirements, final product quality requirements.

 Procedure of Articaine HCl:-

• Take toluene in kettle reactor at 30°-32°C.

• Thiophene at 30°-32°C.
• K2CO3 at 22°-25°C. & Water.
• 2-bromopropinly bromide charge by vacuum pump at 40°-60°C.(pre-process)
• Stir all the raw materials in kettle reactor by maintaining temperature of reaction periodically.
• (Excess of washout toluene in reactor)

• Glass lined kettle reactor is used because of this reaction is highly acidic.
• After this process chemicals go through pressure filter .
• After filtration, it get transferred into settler, remaining toluene again used as a raw
material, settling seperates the heavy dense & low dense layer. (aqueous/organic layer)
• Aqueous layer sent to ETP-Effluent Treatment Plant, remove Impurities & sent water in
water body (WW treatment).
• Acidic gas produces during reaction gets into the scrubber. The bed is provided in the
scrubber, which have NaOH particles on it. When acidic wash of gas occurs on the bed it
gets neutralized & then it gets free to the environment.
• The mother liquor which collected at the bottom recycle again in the crystallizer through
the condenser. Then this crystals mixture which holds moisture base transfer to the
centrifuge filters through the forced pipe.

• The crystal & moisture mixture comes to the centrifuge filter where separation of
mixture done on the basis of gravity. In the centrifuge filter drum provided with holes
which collect the solid crystal base & moisture remove out through gravity motion.
• Then this solid crystal base goes to the nauta dryer where they breake by the big screw
shaft. The heat provides by the jacket around the dryer to remove the least amount of
moisture from it & convert into small & smooth particle powder.
• Then this smooth powder packed into the drums & got labelled according to the
Articaine HCL MSDS & sent to the GMP area. This whole processes in API Units manage
by the SCADA & HMI Software System.
