Arguments For The Deity of Jesus
Arguments For The Deity of Jesus
Arguments For The Deity of Jesus
Rev 1:1-10 and 22:6 = God and Jesus and almighty God … all one and same
person. God fuse out as Jesus and Jesus become OTG.
1. Yehovah is God
2. Yehovah is Jesus
3. Hence Jesus is God
4. Jesus died.
5. As Jesus is God, and Jesus died, in Jesus God died.
JESUS HIMSELF CLAIMS TO BE GOD WHEN SAID HE IS THE MESSIAH. Jesus said
to the woman: I who talk to you is the messiah. It is clear from the Bible that Messiah is
the manifestation of God Himself.
JESUS WAS NOT JUST CLAIMING TO BE GOD, BUT PROVING EVERY DETAILS OF
SUCH CLAIM. Jesus is telling us that He will raise his own dead body up again. It is one
thing to raise others who are dead, it is another thing to raise oneself from the dead
when they are dead.
Logic alone would tell us that the “Son” of God would possess the same deity as the
Father. Anyone who argues that Jesus never made such a claim simply hasn’t bothered
to search the Scriptures for themselves, openly, or just does not want to believe what
they understand.
In response to the disciple Thomas, Jesus said "I am the way, and the truth, and the life;
no one comes to the Father, but through Me." Jn 14:6 From this statement alone, one
would have to wonder why nobody could come to God directly. Maybe Jesus
was really saying that He was God?
“for if you do not believe that I am, you will die in your sins ” (John 8:24). NO
OTHER GOD CANDIDATE EVER COME AND SAY SUCH BLESSINGS IF BELIEVE
AND PUNISHMENT IF NOT BELIEVE IN SUCH A WAY NO ONE CAN IGNORE
HE CLAIMED THAT MEN CAN HAVE FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD AND ETERNAL
LIFE ONLY THROUGH HIM.
Jesus never classed Himself with sinful creatures in need of salvation. He is the Savior!
He claimed He could forgive sins and would die to give people remission of sins and
eternal life. What true prophet or angel ever claimed such power? His own claims
compel us to believe either that He was a very evil man or else He is the Divine Son of
God.

IN ALL THESE, THE GREATEST REALIZATION THAT YOU CAN HAVE, IS
THE TRUTH THAT JESUS IS GOD.
The perfect revelation of God to man, must take the human form. God becoming man is
perfectly logical and quite possible for God. And God has done exactly this. He became
man to reveal himself to mankind, in Jesus Christ. This is more than all philosophy. The
perfect revelation of God to mankind, must take human form, not merely the form of a
theology, philosophy or book. Because we are humans. We are not books and ideas, we
are humans. Hence the perfect revelation of God, cannot end up as an idea or book.
Jesus is God in human form, and the victory he gives us is final. God gave us the best in
Jesus and it costs us nothing. Hence unbelief in Jesus is an unjustifiable rebellion
destined to eternal hell. If we carefully examine human history, we have more than
enough proof to believe that God in Jesus is the only savior of mankind. Jesus is the
most ideal and historical God candidate, we could ever think of. If ever God became
man, who else could ever, fit into that role, better than Jesus? Nobody can honestly say
that, any other person who, ever appeared on the face of the earth, is in anyway better
than Jesus. And his historical impact is undeniably imprinted on the historical
recording forever, dividing the world history into BC & AD. Nobody can make a
historical recording such as 2000, or 2014, without making a reference to Jesus.
Because, for example, when you say, you were born in 2000, you really say that you
were born, 2000 years after Jesus.
Jesus is the most intensely discussed person in history. The person of Jesus, is the
biggest issue for the largest number of people in the world. The most powerful people
groups in the world, identify the most serious disagreement among themselves, based
on their different opinions about who is Jesus. This alone declares the significance of
Jesus as a unique historical person. The historical fact of the Birth of Jesus, all agree.
Some people believe, they rightly killed Jesus, because he claimed to be the promised
messiah, the son of God, the incarnation of God. Some others believe, that Jesus is
virgin born, a great prophet, he will come back etc, but deny his death and resurrection.
But the true Christians believe that, Jesus is the promised Messiah, the son of God, God
Himself revealing to mankind, born sinless and lived sinless, died for the sins of
mankind, and rose again on the third day, in accordance with the scriptures, and
appeared to many and ascended into heaven, is the only savior of mankind.
Jesus is unquestionably the most accurately prophesied person in history. Even the
minute details of his first coming, the birth, death, and resurrection, and also the second
coming, are all prophesied in the Bible. Jesus is also the person, who made the biggest
claims in the history of mankind. The best solution to man’s problems, the biggest
reward, the biggest promise, and the biggest scope for all eternity, and also the biggest
punishment, are all found in the claims made by Jesus.
JESUS SPOKE LIKE GOD, AS NO ONE ELSE IN HISTORY DID. Jesus said: I AM the
BREAD OF LIFE, I AM the LIGHT OF THE WORLD, I AM the DOOR, I AM the Good
Shepherd. I AM the WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. No one comes to the Father
except through me. “I and the Father are one.” He who has seen Me, has seen the
Father.” He who overcomes, will be my son, and I will be his God. ALL authority in
heaven, and on earth is given to me. My kingdom is not of this world etc. No ordinary
man can speak like this. Jesus said, I AM THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE. ONLY
JESUS EVER CHALLENGED DEATH and overcame it. About his own body he said:
Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. He is saying that, He can raise
up his own dead body. His claim to be “the resurrection” shows that, he has power over
death, even His own, which no other human could ever claim. Jesus had authority to
give his life and to take it back.
JESUS CLAIMED THAT, HE CAME TO SAVE MANKIND, FROM SIN. It was
prophesied, even before his birth, that his name shall be called Jesus, because he will
save his people, from their sins. Jesus claimed to have power to directly forgive sins. He
came to give His life a ransom for the sins of many. He shed His blood for the remission
of the sins of many. Peoplewho do not believe in Him, will die in their sins. No other
God candidate ever spoke such blessings if you believe him, and punishment if you do
not believe. Jesus is the highest standard of the human values of right and wrong, good
and bad. What he would approve is right and what He would not approve is wrong.
Jesus is the greatest example of love, peace, hope, holiness and forgiveness. Jesus is the
ideal man, the son of God and the son of man, the desire of every human heart, THE
DESIRE OF ALL NATIONS. He is the best person anyone should follow, in order to
attain the best moral character.
JESUS IS THE BIGGEST PERFORMING PERSON, EVEN TODAY. Jesus is really alive
today, and is at work. In His Name we have the greatest case of expelling demons, and
healing all manner of sickness, even right now. If you COMMAND in Jesus NAME by
faith, the demons will depart. Jesus is transforming lives even today. He is alive and is
appearing to many around the world. Many who have after death experiences are
testifying about Jesus. You can search the internet for further evidence. Jesus is the
perfect and final revelation of God to mankind. He is God in human form. In Jesus we
get the idea of the character of the true God. Seeing Jesus is seeing the only true God.
Believing Jesus is believing God. Rejecting Jesus is rejecting God.
BUT SOME ASK, IF JESUS IS GOD INDEED, WHY HE DID NOT SAY, I AM GOD. First
of all, we should not expect God to speak in the way we want. It is always better to try
and understand, why God handled the issue in the way He did. The fact is that Jesus
made it sufficiently clear, that He is God, and that is why so many people, from that time
onward throughout history, believed that Jesus is God. The purpose of the first coming
of Jesus was dying on the cross to solve the sin problem of mankind. Preaching and
proving that He was God, was not the purpose of His first coming. Jesus did not do or
say anything which would go against His primary purpose of dying on the cross. Hence
Jesus even prevented those who recognized his full identity, from revealing it to others.
Thus after transfiguration, he clearly told his disciples, not to say about this to anyone,
until His resurrection.
Jesus will undeniably prove that He is God, at his second coming. There is a time for
everything. There will come a time, when every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall
confess that, Jesus is the Lord God Almighty and the only savior of mankind. Let us be
sober. Anyone can make claims by words. What matters is, action proofs not just word
claims. Jesus talks and acts like God. He always proved his claims by actions, which no
one else could do. As he is God, He was not in a hurry to declare and prove it, perhaps in
the way critics would like. Jesus never denied that, he was God. Rather He made
indirect claims and indications, and gave enough proof, sufficient for an honest seeker
to meaningfully BELIEVE. Jesus does not have to prove that He is God. God is not
obligated to prove anything to us. After all, it is we humans, who are in need of believing
that Jesus is God.

SON OF GOD IS REPRESENTATIVE OF GOD. SON OF MAN IS
REPRESENTATIVE OF MAN. THUS JESUS IS THE BIGGEST FUSION
EVENT.
IF YOU DON’T BELIEVE THAT I AM HE, YOU WILL DIE IN YOUR SINS
The foregoing conclusively demonstrates that the NT writers believed the Lord Jesus
was none other than Yahweh God in the flesh. The NT documents also show that the
Father and the Holy Spirit are fully divine, and that these three are distinct persons.
BUT IN THE FORMULATION OF TRINITY EARLY CHURCH COMMITTED SOME
ERROR.
Jesus is Kurios.
The New Testament Greek equivalent of the Old Testament Hebrew name Yahweh is
Kurios. Used of God, Kurios carries the idea of a sovereign being who exercises absolute
authority. The word is translated Lord in English translations of the Bible.
Jesus is Elohim.
Elohim is a Hebrew name that is used of God 2,570 times in the Old Testament. The
name literally means “strong one,” and its plural ending (“im” in Hebrew) indicates
fullness of power. Elohim is portrayed in the Old Testament as the powerful and
sovereign governor of the universe, ruling over the affairs of humankind. Jesus is
recognized as both Yahweh and Elohim in the prophecy in Isaiah 40:3: “Prepare the way
of the Lord [Yahweh]; make straight in the desert a highway for our God [Elohim].” This
verse was written in reference to John the Baptist preparing for the coming of Christ (as
confirmed in John 1:23) and represents one of the strongest affirmations of Christ’s
deity in the Old Testament. In Isaiah 9:6, we likewise read a prophecy of Christ with a
singular variant (El) of Elohim: “And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor,
Mighty God [El], Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
Jesus is Theos.
The New Testament Greek word for God, Theos, is the corresponding parallel to the Old
Testament Hebrew term Elohim. A well-known example of Christ being addressed as
God (Theos) is found in the story of “doubting Thomas” in John 20. In this passage,
Thomas witnesses the resurrected Christ and worshipfully responds: “My Lord and
my God [Theos]” (John 20:28). Jesus is called Theos throughout the rest of the
New Testament. For example, when a jailer asked Paul and Silas how to be saved, they
responded: “Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household”
(Acts 16:31). After the jailer believed and became saved, he “rejoiced, having
believed in God [Theos] with all his household” (verse 34). Believing in
Christ and believing in God are seen as identical acts.
Christ Proclaimed as God
John 1:1, 14: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the
Word was God...and the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us..”” Here
we note that Jesus was existent with God the Father “in the beginning”, and that at a
moment in history chosen by God, He took on flesh and became a man, and dwelt
among His creation.
Hebrews 1:3 “God, who at various times and in different ways spoke in times past to
the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son,
whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;
who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His
person…” Here Jesus is referred to by the apostle as the very image of God.
2 Peter 1:1: “Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have
obtained like precious faith with us by the righteous of our God and Savior Jesus
Christ.”
Hebrews 1:8: “But to the Son [Jesus] He [God] says: ‘Your throne, O God, is
forever and ever; A scepter of righteous is the scepter of Your Kingdom.” God the
Father is recognizing that Jesus is God, and King of Kings.
Hebrews 13:8: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
Acts 20:28 “Therefore, take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which
the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He
purchased with His own blood.” Here we have the Holy Spirit acting as a person,
appointing overseers to guide the church which He (God in Christ) purchased with His
own blood.
Galatians 4:6: “God has sent the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out “Abba,
Father!”. Here the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are all referenced.
Acts 5:3-4 “But Peter said, ‘Ananias, why has Satan filled your hear to lie to the Holy
Spirit…? ..You have not lied to me but to God.”
1 Cor 3:16 ““Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of
God dwells in you?”
Ephesians 1:3-4: “Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who
hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly [places] in Christ: According as
he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world..”
1 John: "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God:
because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of
God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And
every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and
this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even
now already is it in the world." (1 John 4:1-3). It must be noted that the phrase "Jesus
Christ is come in the flesh" is a direct reference to His deity and that GOD
came to the earth in flesh.
Jesus declared His divinity during His temptation by the devil when He said, “It is
written again, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God’ (Mt 4:7). Jesus is also
called God by others.
1. HEBREWS 1:5-10 But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He
says: "Let all the angels of God worship Him." And of the angels He says: "Who
makes His angels spirits And His ministers a flame of fire." But to the Son He
says: "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; "You, LORD, in the beginning laid
the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands."
1. The LORD created everything alone. A. ISAIAH 44:24 "Thus says the LORD, your
Redeemer, And He who formed you from the womb: "I am the LORD, who makes
all things,
1. ALMIGHTY GOD: REVELATION 1:8 ""I am the Alpha and the Omega, the
Beginning and the End," says the Lord, "who is and who was and who is to come,
the Almighty." (this verse is probably referring to Jesus, but Jehovah's Witnesses
state it is referring to God the Father); REVELATION 21:5-7 "Then He who sat on
the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He said to me, "Write, for
these words are true and faithful." And He said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha
and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water
of life freely to him who thirsts. "He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I
will be his God and he shall be My son." --> Jesus Christ: REVELATION 1:11
"saying, "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last," and, "What you
see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia: to
Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to
Laodicea." ; REVELATION 2:8 "And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write,
'These things says the First and the Last, who was dead, and came to life" ;
REVELATION 22:12-13 ""And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is
with Me, to give to everyone according to his work. "I am the Alpha and the
Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last." ; REVELATION 22:16
""I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am
the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star."
2. THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE "FIRST" AND ONE "LAST" . A. ISAIAH 41:4
"Who has performed and done it, Calling the generations from the beginning? 'I,
the LORD, am the first; And with the last I am He.'" B. ISAIAH 44:6 ""Thus says
the LORD, the King of Israel, And his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: 'I am the
First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God." C. ISAIAH 48:12 ""Listen to
Me, O Jacob, And Israel, My called: I am He, I am the First, I am also the Last."
B. JOHN 8:24 ""Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins;
for if you do not believe that I am, you will die in your sins." ; JOHN
8:58 "Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, before
Abraham was, I AM." C. JOHN 10:30 ""I and My Father are one."
1. JOHN 1:18 "No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in
the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him." (Most translations say "only
begotten Son". But "Son" is THEOS in the Greek, which means "God").
2. JOHN 12:37-41 "But although He had done so many signs before them, they did
not believe in Him, that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which
he spoke: "Lord, who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the
LORD been revealed?" Therefore they could not believe, because Isaiah said
again: "He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, Lest they should see
with their eyes, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I
should heal them." These things Isaiah said when he saw His glory and spoke of
Him." --> ISA. 6:1-5.
3. JOHN 20:28 "And Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!".
4. MATTHEW 1:21-23 ""And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name
JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins." So all this was done that it
might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying:
"Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His
name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us."
5. ACTS 20:28 ""Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among
which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of
God which He purchased with His own blood."
6. ROMANS 9:5 "of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh,
Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen."
7. ROMANS 10:9-13"that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and
believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth
confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on
Him will not be put to shame." For there is no distinction between Jew and
Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For "whoever
calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved." --> JOEL 2:32 "And it shall
come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be
saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, As the
LORD has said, Among the remnant whom the LORD calls."
8. COLOSSIANS 1:15-18 "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all
creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on
earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or
powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all
things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church,
who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have
the preeminence."
9. COLOSSIANS 2:9 "For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead
bodily".
10. 1 TIMOTHY 1:16-17 "However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first
Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to
believe on Him for everlasting life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible,
to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen."
11. 1 TIMOTHY 3:15-16 "but if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you
ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living
God, the pillar and ground of the truth. And without controversy great is
the mystery of godliness: He was manifested in the flesh, Justified in
the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on
in the world, Received up in glory."
12. 1 TIMOTHY 6:14-16 "that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless
until our Lord Jesus Christ's appearing, which He will manifest in His own time,
He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords,
who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has
seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen."
13. TITUS 2:13 "looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our
great God and Savior Jesus Christ"
14. 2 PETER 1:1 "Simon Peter, a bondservant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those
who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God
and Savior Jesus Christ"
15. 1 JOHN 5:20 "And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an
understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is
true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life."

DEITY OF JESUS
In the Messianic prophecy of Isaiah 7:14, God made it clear that the One who would be
born of the virgin would also be Immanuel, God with us.
God plainly states in Exodus 34:14 that man is not to worship any other God. "For thou
shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a
jealous God." Yet Jesus accepted the worship of men because He is God.
JESUS CLAIMED TO I AM
John 8:58 = "Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham
was, I am." Proclaimed that He was "I am," a name that only applies to God the
Father. What caused them to riot was that Jesus said plainly that He was Jehovah God,
the "Self-Existent One." (Exodus 3:14) Using the name "I am," He identified Himself as
the One who sent Moses to the children of Israel when they were in captivity in Egypt.
John 6:51: “I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of
this bread, he will live forever;”
When Jesus spoke, “I AM the bread of life,” The true bread from heaven. The bread of
God is he who comes down from heaven” he is making His heavenly origins
known.
John 10:9-11: “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in
and out and find pasture. “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to
destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more
abundantly.” I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.”
John 10:11 “I AM the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the
sheep.
John 11:25 Jesus said to her, “I AM the resurrection and the life. He who believes
in Me, though he may die, he shall live.”
THUS JESUS NOT JUST CLAIMING TO BE GOD, BUT PROVING EVERY DETAILS
OF SUCH CLAIM = WISE WILL KNOW AND BELIEVES == SKEPTICS OUT
John 2:19-21 Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three
days I will raise it up (speaking of the temple of His body.)”
John 10:17-18: “Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may
take it again. “No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay
it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My
Father.” Jesus is telling us that He will raise his own dead body up again. It is
one thing to raise others who are dead, it is another thing to raise oneself
from the dead when they are dead.
His claim to be “the resurrection” shows us that he has power over death, even His own,
which no man or prophet could ever claim. Every human who lived ends with death and
we cannot change.
Jesus said to him, “I AM the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father
except through Me.”
Jesus is explaining three distinct things about Himself. He is 1) “the way.” 2) “the truth”
and 3) “the life.” All are facets of the one God and his grace for mankind to be
reconciled.
7) John 15:1 “I AM the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.”
John 15:5: “He who remains in me, and I in him', says Jesus 'this man bears much
fruit, apart from me you can do nothing'.
Which merciful God … who other than Jesus had touched mankind… died to save man
from death… which is real to all..proved there is after life. And challenged death… hai
death where is your victory?... only one who warned if you don’t believe him you will end
in hell….
The mind of man has never conceived the idea of such a character, even for his gods; nor
has history or poetry shadowed it forth.
The doctrines and precepts of Jesus are in strict accordance with the attributes of God,
agreeably to the most exalted idea which we can form of them, either from reason or
from revelation. They are strikingly adapted to the capacity of mankind, and yet are
delivered with a simplicity and majesty wholly divine.
He spakeas never man spake. He spake with authority; yet addressed himself to the
reason and the understanding of men; and he spake with wisdom, which men could
neither gainsay nor resist.
In his private life, he exhibits a character not merely of strict justice, but of flowing
benignity. He is temperate, without austerity; his meekness and humility are signal; his
patience is invincible; truth and sincerity illustrate his whole conduct; every one of his
virtues is regulated by consummate prudence; and he both wins the love of his friends,
and extorts the wonder and admiration of his enemies. He is represented in very variety
of situation in life, from the height of worldly grandeur, amid the acclamations of an
admiring multitude, to the deepest abyss of human degradation and woe, apparently
deserted of God and man. Yet everywhere he is the same; displaying a character of
unearthly perfection, symmetrical in all its proportions, and encircled with splendor
more than human.
He is the only sinless one lived on earth. If you judge the morality of the person of
Christ by any moral law of the world, He stands perfect and sinless. Perfect even in
reaction. He challenged them by saying who can prove sin in me. The state could not
accuse him of sin. He never made a mistake. Only accusation was that he claimed to the
son of God. He is absolutely trustworthy.
If such person ever lived he was God. It is historical fact that He lived on this
earth. He divided history into two: BC and AD. The Person of Christ is not myth. He is a
historical person.
The whole world is happy at Christmas. Because Christ is the answer for the most
basic problems of mankind, such as sickness, immorality, guilt, sin and death.
He establishes His kingdom not by killing, but by saving. If such person ever
lived he was God. If God exists, Christ’s claims to be God is correct. If God becomes man
he cannot be different from Jesus.
Man cannot imagine a better ideal man than Jesus. It will be best for mankind if
all become like Jesus, and not like anyone else.
He is the only one who was born for the singular purpose of dying for
others.
He was the only one who rose from the dead. Of all the world leaders all died but
only Christ rose from the dead. The empty tomb is the greatest standing monument of
Christian faith.
Christ claimed I am the light. Others showed some light, way, truth. But Christ said
I am the way, light, truth, life. All religions are the futile efforts of man to reach God by
man’s own efforts. Their leaders were first in darkness; then claimed they found some
light. Man is like a born-blind man. He cannot see light because of his own problem, not
because of light. Man by his own effort cannot find God, because man is blind.
But Christ overcame death. He has showed us a world beyond death. The visa to
that world is stamped by His blood. Death is like a seed dying to produce more fruit. All
fear of man is based on fear of death. Christ liberates us from the fear of death. Death
swallowed all religious leaders.
Christ released His life on the cross for every person. Until that time He was
available only to Israel. (Secret, separate wave-length - available to all). When I am lifted
up I will draw all men to me. He prayed for all believers of all times.
Hence the good news is that God comes down to man to save man. The good
news is that God was in Christ reconciled the world to himself.
Christ is now in heaven seated at the right hand of God having resumed his pre-
incarnation position of preeminence and sovereignty.
His ministry in heaven = He is exercising authority over and sustaining all of the created
order in accordance with the Father’s plan. He is interceding for individual saints and
the Church before the Father. Preparing a place for the believers in heaven.
His ministry to the Church specially includes = acting as head and guardian; being the
chief cornerstone and foundation; cleansing the body of Christ and preparing her to be
his bride; giving spiritually gifted men to the church to equip and build up the church to
maturity in Him.
His ministry to the individual believers includes = indwelling and empowering; making
them dead to sin but alive to Christ; sympathizing with them in their weakness;
extending mercy and grace to help in time of need; enabling believers to bear fruit.
1.) God exists. 2.) Jesus Christ died and rose from the dead. 3. SO JESUS IS
GOD
"And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith." -
Paul (1 Cor.15:14)
As a Jewish carpenter from the small city of Nazareth, Jesus had disadvantages in
ethnicity, occupation, and location that would severely damage his credibility.
The concept of a physical resurrection was implausible to the Jews and repugnant to
the Romans. Jews expected the resurrection to occur at the end of the world for all
people. The Romans, who had little respect for the physical body and much
preferred the ethereal soul, believed that physical resurrection was a disgrace -
according to Celsus corpses "ought to be thrown away as worse than dung."
Despite the inherent difficulties, the heart of the Christian message from
the very beginning embraced this obscure Jesus of Nazareth, preaching
his death on a cross and miraculous resurrection. How did the Christian
message overcome all of these obstacles and emerge as the most
successful world religion of all time?

Unlike other teachers who focused on their words, Jesus pointed people to himself. He
did not say, "follow my words and you will find truth." He said, "I am the way, the truth,
and the life, no one comes to the Father but through me. He said, "I am the light of the
world, he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." He
claimed attributes belonging only to God: to be able to forgive people of their sin, free
them from habits of sin, give people a more abundant life and give them eternal life in
heaven. Of all the religions known to humanity, only through Jesus will you see God
reaching toward humanity, providing a way for us to have a relationship with him. This
is God, in action. Unlike any other revelation of God, Jesus Christ is the clearest, most
specific picture of God revealing himself to us.
Timothy 3:16 "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was
manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the
Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."A mystery in the Bible is
simply a previously unrevealed truth. In the Old Testament this truth was not stated.
The mystery is about GOD MANIFESTING IN THE FLESH. THE REALITY OF GOD
BEING MANIFESTED IN THE FLESH WAS JUSTIFIED OR CEERTIFIED BY THE
HOLY SPIRIT. HERE THE CONSTRAST IS BETWEEN THE ACTS OF GOD IN
REGARD TO FLESH AND SPIRIT. When the redemptive word of Jesus is JUSTIFIED
IN THE SPIRIT, it is a proclamation that it was NOT THE FLESH THAT IS JUSTIFIED,
BUT THE HOLY SPIRIT. The proof and approval or vindication was His resurrection.
JESUS IS THE IMMANUEL - GOD WITH US. Isa 7:14 and Matthew 1:23 Matthew
clearly claimed not only that Christ was born of a virgin, but that this was anticipated by
the prophecy of Isaiah as being the method by which God would become a man.
John 8:58 = "Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham
was, I am." Using the name "I am," He identified Himself as the One who sent Moses to
the children of Israel when they were in captivity in Egypt. The Jews fully understood
what He had said and were so angry with Him making the statement that they rushed to
kill Him. In John 10:30, Jesus said that "I and my Father are one."
"To the church of God that is in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be
saints together with all those who in every place call upon the name of our
Lord Jesus Christ, both their Lord and ours:" 1 Cor 1:2. THUS CHRIST IN
HEAVEN OCCUPIES THE VERY POSITION OF YAHWEH GOD, SINCE HE
IS DEPICTED AS THE ONE ENTHRONED OVER BOTH THE SPIRITUAL
AND PHYSICAL REALMS.

CHRIST WORSHIPPED – THRONE IS NOT A
CHAIR BUT SYMBOLIC OF GOD PRESENCE AND
AUTHORITY
THE TWENTY-FOUR ELDERS ARE SAID TO BE ENCIRCLING THE
THRONE OF GOD, BUT THEY ARE NOT SITTING ON IT, WHEREAS JESUS,
AS WE SAW ABOVE, SITS ON THE DIVINE THRONE AND IS IN ITS VERY
MIDST: "After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number,
from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne
and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and
crying out with a loud voice, ‘Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to
the Lamb!’ And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders
and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and
worshiped God, saying, ‘Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and
honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.’ Then one of the
elders addressed me, saying, ‘Who are these, clothed in white robes, and from where
have they come?’ I said to him, ‘Sir, you know.’ And he said to me, ‘These are the ones
coming out of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made
them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore they are before the throne of God,
and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will shelter
them with his presence. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; the sun
shall not strike them, nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb in the midst of the
throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living
water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’" Revelation 7:9-17
THIS SHOWS THAT THESE ELDERS ARE NOT JUST ENCIRCLING GOD
BUT ALSO CHRIST WHO IS IN THE MIDST OF THE DIVINE THRONE.
SECOND, ACCORDING TO REVELATION 4 THE TWENTY-FOUR ELDERS,
AS WELL AS THE ENTIRE HOST OF HEAVEN, ARE WORSHIPING GOD:
"After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice,
which I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet, said, ‘Come up here, and I will show
you what must take place after this.’ At once I was in the Spirit, and behold, a throne
stood in heaven, with one seated on the throne. And he who sat there had the
appearance of jasper and carnelian, and around the throne was a rainbow that had the
appearance of an emerald. Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and seated on
the thrones were twenty-four elders, clothed in white garments, with golden crowns on
their heads. From the throne came flashes of lightning, and rumblings and peals of
thunder, and before the throne were burning seven torches of fire, which are the seven
spirits of God, and before the throne there was as it were a sea of glass, like crystal. And
around the throne, on each side of the throne, are four living creatures, full of eyes in
front and behind: the first living creature like a lion, the second living creature like an
ox, the third living creature with the face of a man, and the fourth living creature like an
eagle in flight. And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes
all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say, ‘Holy, holy, holy, is the
Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!’ And whenever the living creatures
give glory and honor and thanks to him who is seated on the throne, who lives forever
and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before him who is seated on the
throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They cast their
crowns before the throne, saying, ‘Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive
glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and
were created.’" Revelation 4:1-11.
HIS UNIQUE MORAL CHARACTER "Can any of you prove me guilty of sin?" His
sinlessness was completely contrary to the experience of the saints and mystics
throughout the ages. "He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth."
Even Pilate, who sentenced Jesus to death, asked, "What evil has he done?" After
listening to the crowd, Pilate concluded, "I am innocent of this man's blood; see to it
yourselves." The Roman centurion who assisted in the crucifixion of Christ said, "Surely
he was the Son of God." Jesus was tempted, yet without sin = BLAMELESS,
GUILTLESS, FAULTLESS. 4 courts tried but found guiltless. Experts of Jewish law and
Roman law tried Jesus but could not find any fault with him but killed just because he
claimed to be God.
There had to be a second Adam to undo the mistake of the first Adam. And
that is what God promised.
THE CRITICS ARGUE THAT GOD CANNOT BE SEEN WITH THE NAKED
EYE. NO ONE HAS SEEN GOD. BUT JESUS WAS SEEN, HENCE JESUS IS
NOT GOD.But the fact is that Jesus is the visible revelation of the invisible God.
THERE ARE MANY INDIRECT EVIDENCES JESUS GAVE FOR HIS DEITY.
Jesus said I AM SON OF GOD (Jn 10:36). Jews understood this as equating himself
with God. Hence they tried to stone and kill Jesus for blasphemy. Peter said that Jesus is
the Son of the living God. When Pilate asked Jesus are you the Son of God, Jesus
responded saying, You say I am. What we need to understand is that the expression
SON OF GOD MEANS THE REVELATION OF GOD. Moreover the statements in the
Bible such as: He that honors not son, honors not Father, that Jesus is the one who gives
Holy Spirit in plenty to who asks Him, that Jesus is greater than the temple of God, that
the Son of man is Lord of Sabbath, that Jesus accepted worship, the statement in Rev
21:6-7 that I am alpha and Omega, that I will be his God, that Jesus has the exact nature
of God, that one who has seen me has seen the Father (Jn 14:9), that I was before
Abraham, that whatever Father does Jesus does,… and such numerous other statements
CLEARLY PROVE THAT JESUS IS THE VISIBLE HUMAN REVELATION OF THE
INVISIBLE SPIRIT GOD.

God cannot be tempted (James 1:13). Jesus was tempted in every way
(Hebrews 4:15). Therefore Jesus cannot be God." Therefore, Jesus was both God
and man while on earth. Jesus in His humanity could be "tempted," but the essence of
His Deity within did not allow such temptation to have any real power because He was
also God.
God is Spirit (John 4:24). But Jesus is not a Spirit, but flesh and blood (Luke
24:39)."
God does not change according to James 1:17 in the NIV. But Luke 2:52
shows how Jesus changed and grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor
with God and men. Therefore, Jesus cannot be God." The physical growth and
growing in wisdom and "in favor" have nothing to do with inner character and essence,
this alleged contradiction fails to prove anything against the Deity of Jesus or the
doctrine of the Trinity.
God cannot die according to 1 Timothy 1:17. Jesus died for our sins (1
Corinthians 15:3). Therefore, Jesus cannot be God." God is said to be
invisible that means He cannot be seen. Yet why is it recorded that God has
been "seen" in passages like Exodus 33:20-23 and 24:11? It is not a
contradiction, but an example of God manifesting His power by doing what
we would consider "impossible" under normal circumstances. Normally,
God is invisible. But that does not preclude the fact that God can manifest
and make Himself visible at will. The same is also true for His eternality. If God
has the power to manifest in human, mortal flesh then it stands to reason
that under such circumstances that He could "die" (at least the physical
manifestation could). Thus under normal conditions, unchanged by God
Himself, God cannot die, but the doctrine of the incarnation spoken of in
John 1:1-14 is manifestly abnormal. Therefore, Jesus, as God incarnate, can
die for our sins without any alleged contradiction with the nature of God as
an eternal Being. This argument is actually a slap in the face of God's
omnipotence, since it ultimately seeks to argue that God cannot become
human and yet remain God because He was essentially God from eternity.
God knows everything there is to know (Isaiah 46:10). But Jesus did not
know everything there is to know (Mark 13:32; Luke 2:52). Therefore, Jesus
cannot be God." This argument also has no validity because it assumes that if God
becomes human and takes on human limitations that this necessarily means He cannot
be God. Christian theology proper has no problem with Jesus being God and needing
sleep and food, and it certainly has no problem with this same Jesus choosing not to
know ONE specific thing on earth, prior to His resurrection and glorification, for
whatever purpose He had in mind.
God does not grow weary or tired (Isaiah 40:28, NASB). Jesus became
weary in John 4:6. Therefore Jesus cannot be God."
If Jesus is God, how could he die for our sins? ...God cannot die, yet Jesus
was killed and then resurrected (Acts 5:30). The Bible does not say that only his
'human nature' died; it says that Jesus died, which would include all of Jesus (100%). "
How can Jesus be 'God' and have a 'God' at the same time?...Jesus Christ
cannot be 'God' if he says that our heavenly Father is his 'God.' You cannot
be the 'Most High God' and be in submission to the 'Most High God' (1
Cor.15:28) and say that He is your God. THIS IS FINAL PROOF THAT
JESUS IS REV OF GOD.

SOME REASONS THE CRITICS LIST TO ARGUE THAT JESUS IS NOT GOD!
Jesus is not all powerful and all knowing, Jesus never said I am God, Jesus is the son of
man, the OT tells us not to trust the son of man, Jesus was GIVEN power and authority,
he did not own it, Jesus was sent to a specific nation only, not to mankind, Jesus denied
being good in the sense that God is good, Jesus could not save anyone, Jesus’ believers
did NOT believe he was God neither, will you worship Jesus, or the one Jesus
worshiped?, God comes out of a woman? God is a helpless baby? If Jesus was God, his
disciples should have said this clearly. Instead, they kept preaching that Jesus was
God’s Christ.
