    1. jīntian zăoshang bādiăn (Note) 8:00 a.m. this morning ** Tuesday through Sunday follow the same pattern.

    2. jīntian shàngwŭ shídiăn yíkè 10:15 a.m. before noon today Notes

    3. jīntian zhōngwŭ shíèrdiăn 12:00 noon today The clock hours in Chinese are expressed by the following pattern:
    Number (1-12) + Diăn + Zhōng. For example: sān diăn zhōng (3:00).
    4. jīntian xiàwŭ sāndiăn bàn 3:30 p.m. this afternoon Often the noun “zhōng” can be omitted when the meaning is understood
    from context. “Sān diăn zhōng” can be written as “sān diăn”. Their
    5. jīntian wănshang qīdiăn shífēn 7:10 p.m. this evening meanings remain unchanged.
