Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to Robert and Deth’s Wedding Reception Dinner. We have assigned seats
for every guest this evening, so kindly make sure that we are in the correct dinner table. You may refer to our seat chart,
or ask for assistance from our marshalls.
Habang hinihintay natin ang ating minamahal na bagong kasal, you can have coffee, milk tea, sweet treats, and street
food.

Someone from the coordinator team is currently going around to take videos of you as you give your message to the
couple.
GAME
It is time! We’re about to officially BEGIN the wedding reception and we’re all here to celebrate! And to join the fun and the
celebration, let’s call in some beautiful ladies ready to sway and move with swag… our Bridesmaids!
Next in line with their dance moves, let’s welcome the Groomsmen!
And of course, as tonight calls for a grand celebration, it is my distinct pleasure to introduce to you for the very first time
Robert and Deth as husband and wife. So, without further ado, let us all rise and give our cheers, our shouts of welcome,
our loudest clap, for Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Deth Odulio!
Once again, let’s give it up for TEAM BRIDE! TEAM GROOM! THE NEW COUPLE!
I was given the honor to be one of your hosts tonight, my name is Lea and I am the eldest sister to the bride. And hindi
ako nag-iisa. Joining me tonight as a host, is the groom’s brother, Rap.
Rap: Good evening Ate Lea, and good evening everyone. Napagod ako dun, but I’m also very excited for all the fun and
games and the food that we have tonight.
WELCOME
Lea: We would like to welcome everyone, friends and loved ones of Mr. and Mrs. Robert & Deth Odulio, to their Wedding
Reception Dinner. The solemn part of the celebration is now over, and we want to thank everyone who were with us
earlier at the San Pedro Calungsod Church. If there’s anyone who just came in, or kadarating lang, welcome! We’re glad
to have all of you here.
Rap: Ito ang unang pagkakataon, now as a married couple, that Robert & Deth are spending time with the people they
have chosen to celebrate this day with.
Pakisabi sa katabi, “pinili ka.” Kapili pili ka. What a blessing to be here today! We could be doing something else,
as they start a new life together. Some of you have a taken of leave of absence, karamihan satin galing pa sa malayong
lugar, and so in behalf of Robert and Deth and their parents and families, we would like to thank all of you for your
presence tonight in this memorable occasion.
Lea: Tama. So sit down, relax, if you can go on airplane mode, kalimutan muna ang boss. Enjoy the rest of the evening.
Lea: And to start this event, let’s all stand up para sa isang panalangin.
PRAYER
Lea: Pwede na po tayong umupo. Before we move on to some of the most exciting parts of the event, we would like to
acknowledge some very important people who play a big part in this event.
Rap: That’s right, and they are the Ninongs and Ninangs, the primary sponsors. Ninongs and ninangs, aside from being
witness to the wedding, are like second parents to the couple. So allow us to introduce to you the primary sponsors.
Lea: Thank you so much to our primary sponsors, and palakpakan natin sila.
Lea: Of course, we also would like to honor the parents of the married couple. Without their support, this event will not
happen. And alam natin na more than anyone in this place right now, the parents of both parties ang pinaka-nagagalak
Lea: Robert’s Parents (coming all the way from Nueva Ecija)
Thank you so much to the parents of the couple, and palakpakan natin sila.
Rap: A wedding is really is a way to witness the faithfulness of God to two people, pero at the same time, and kasal
you.
So again I request these following groups of people na tatawagin namin, to please stand up so we can acknowledge you.
Odulio Fam, Traspe Fam, Salvador Fam, Calingo Fam, Accenture Friends, High School Friends
Lea: We started with dancing, we continue with more dancing. The next part of the program is for the wedding dances.
WEDDING DANCES
I. Mother-of-the-Groom Dance
Rap: The mother-of-the-groom dance is an honored tradition at many weddings. It is a moment for the groom to honor
and recognize his mother as a huge part of his life. (Message & Intro by Rap)
To the tune of ‘You’ll be in my heart’ by Phil Collins, way we call the Groom - Robert, and his mother, Nanay Romana,
for the Mother-of-the-Groom dance.
Lea: The father and daughter dance is a beautiful moment between the bride and her father. It symbolizes the bride’s
appreciation for the love and guidance she received throughout her life.
To the tune of Leader of the Band by Dan Fogelberg, May we call the Bride, Deth, and her father, Tatay Bobby for the
Father-of-the-Bride Dance.
Rap: Thank you to Tatay Bobby, for this lovely moment with the bride. Deth, please remain on the dance stage as we
call in the groom, Robert to share the stage with the bride.
Lea: (turn to the audience) Gusto nyo na ba sila makitang sumayaw? Are you excited?
Rap: Without further ado, it is my distinct honor to welcome Robert and Deth for their first dance as husband and wife.
They will move as one to the tune of Crazier by Taylow Swift.
Lea: (while dancing) The couple’s first dance represents the love and unity of the husband and wife as they do life
together. Just like dancing to the same beat, both of them have to move and sway in unison.
Rap: Originally the first dance is a visual representation of the exchange of vows, but now it more symbolic of the
couple’s acceptance of each other as equal partners. It also symbolizes the beginning of their new life TOGETHER
AS ONE.
PROSPERITY DANCE
Message of Ninong/Ninang
Rap: I know everyone of us is looking forward to this next part of the program, where we can show our love and
generosity to the couple. We’re about to witness and take part in the Filipino wedding tradition called the Prosperity Dance
or Money Dance in just a little while.
Lea: Correct. But before we get to that, humingi tayo ng kaunting mensahe mula sa kanilang mga Ninong at Ninang.
Rap: To the dear primary sponsors na nais pong magbigay ng mensahe, advice? (roll call kung wala gusto magmessage)
Thank you so much for your warm messages for the couple.
Actual Money Dance
Rap: May we again request the couple to go to the dance stage for the Money Dance. This is where the newlyweds would
dance while their guests. Unlike the traditional pinning of money on the attire to bring generosity and good fortune, they
will be pinned on a sash worn by the couple. Marshalls will go around to provide pins for you.
Lea: We encourage you to extend your love and generosity to the couple with cheerful hearts as they begin a new life
together and build a home. Whatever amount we bless them with will be a great help to the couple, and we believe that it
will be returned to you a hundredfold.
Rap: You may also send your gifts to the couple via online bank transfer or even via Gcash.

Lea: Thank you so much to everyone who took part in that very iconic and traditional dance.
Rap: Let’s have a quick game for everyone before we proceed to the next part of the program. Sinong gusto ng
papremyo?
TRIVIA QUESTION: First to come to the stage and give the correct answer. What is the capital of Taiwan? (TAIPEI)
Funfact, sa Taiwan ang pangalawang out of the country travel nila Robert at Deth.
However, mayroon silang scheduled travel going to Cebu na
naudlot dahil sa Covid pandemic.
CAKE CUTTING
Lea: At this juncture, may we ask everyone to focus their attention on the wedding cake. Because we’re about to proceed
to the cake cutting ceremony.
Rap: Correct, it’s not a celebration without a cake! And as part of the wedding celebration, the cake symbolizes the
couple’s first task as husband and wife. The groom will first feed his bride with cake, and then followed by the bride’s turn.
It symbolizes their commitment with each other, but it is also symbolizes the “bread” of life.
Lea: In the cake cutting ceremony, the bride places her hand on the knife and then the groom places his hand over hers
as they make gentle cuts to form a single slice of cake. The husband then put the slice on a plate and proceeds to feed
the wife with the first bite.
WINE TOASTING
