Introduction
This assignment will discuss leading people in creative teams which states that a creative
group's key aim is to strategically plan out advertising campaigns that encourage a targeted
audience to acquire a specific good or service. The team is in process of designing a
consistent brand recognition for the company through its message, look, and personality.
Although respecting autonomy, participative leadership also stresses mentoring. It includes
setting an example, having everybody on the team aware, and using as much allows for the
recognition in judgment as possible.
The main focus of this assessment is on the chosen company Amazon which briefly defines
that from one small beginning of selling books by online ordering, Amazon.com had rapidly
expanded and entered several markets. Although some seem like related areas - fashion and
home furnishings, for instance, among the most surprising sectors it has made progress is still
entertainment. Thirteen years ago, Amazon launched Amazon Prime, a paid membership
program that allows users to stream music and movies for a monthly or annual fee. Users also
can take advantage of free deliveries due to the offering.

It will also focus on the leadership styles and the existing management of the workplace
culture in the company and the reason for the increase in the resignation of employees (Stone,
2021). Furthermore, the company is strict when it comes to customer satisfaction.
This report will discuss the existing culture of Amazon and the way the company was
influenced by its style of leadership. Moreover, it will explain the problematic management
approaches in Amazon. Apart from this, it will focus on the human resource management
practices Amazon can use to create a culture to improve employee engagement. Lastly, it will
explain the motivation of employees and how the company can develop their emotional
intelligence and psychological contract.
The existing culture of Amazon and how it is influenced by the
leadership style of Amazon
Amazon's organizational culture is described as the "breakneck-paced and incredibly
premium, as it resembles a company which has run primarily at a loss within common
accounting principles (Bryar and Carr, 2021)." The e-commerce giant is a statistics company,
but this obsession also impacts how corporate culture is created. The company utilizes a
range of metrics to measure job performance and depending on the analysis of data, it
constantly seeks steps to enhance the performance of employees by changing certain aspects
of the organizational culture and structure of the company.
Amazon seems to get the passion that most companies have. the desire and constant drive for
perfection (Shaya and Eddington, 2020). Usually, firms that have reached the levels of
effectiveness that Amazon possesses eventually begin to relax and let things occur without
putting as much energy as people eventually gave. The team now throws limited efforts as
they did when Amazon still was looking to create its brand. It is imperative to incorporate
Amazon's constant company culture.
Its working culture focuses on performance and creativity. The organization should maintain
its staff short so each employee can have full ownership of the current project. Professionals
may fix issues without requiring permissions that might get them to turn off owing to the
adoption of group beliefs, which allowed them to make selections that enhance organizational
performance (Conaway et al., 2018).
The main leadership style of Amazon represents Bezos' style of management and
organizational attitude. Some norms encourage all employees to undercut their professions
and surpass their competitors to prove their worth. The transformational leadership style
that encourages managers to "extend and raise the interest of its employees and to look
outside their self-interest for the benefit of the team" can be useful to Amazon (Eliyana and
Ma’arif, 2019). Bezos' strong temperament and management style get an effect on Amazon's
culture, which involves an enthusiasm to instruct others on how to behave; an instinct for
elements must be present bordering on conflict; and overall faith in the power of information.
The perspective of contingency leadership theory could be used to evaluate Jeff Bezos' style
of leadership. The effectiveness of a manager "tends to depend as to how his or her style of
leadership matches the circumstance," it’s as per contingency leadership theory (Abedin,
2021). The type of leadership of Jeff Bezos has indeed been characterized as harsh, ambitious,
and demanding. One could think that this approach of leadership is suitable again for the
situation at the beginning of the company, whenever it had to secure its position in a field that
has been fast-growing.
A complex, main objective corporate culture has indeed been created at Amazon as a
consequence of the strong leadership beliefs and some of its executives' irrational
characteristics. Several of the factors that contributed to the organization's growth is now that,
under Bezos' path, employee members are encouraged to engage in a discussion of one
another's perspectives to ensure effective decision-making. This method eliminates a lot of
different strong desires of members of staff to recognize everything else as the same, which
can lead to the formation of ignorant ideas.

The principles of leadership that Amazon has introduced are as follows:
1. Leaders focus back into the past first from a customer reference point. Companies
posted a bunch of attempts to gain and maintain patient confidentiality (Gradinaru et
al., 2020). While leaders were mindful of business competitors, their main focus is
already on the customer.
2. Leaders always find a way to make things easier yet expect and encourage invention
and innovation from their teams.
3. Entrepreneurs are leaders. Entrepreneurs have such a long-term view and therefore do
not sacrifice long-term value for short-term gains (Tou et al., 2019).
4. In some situations, leaders are accurate. They think strategically and have good
judgment. They look at different perspectives and try to prove their beliefs.
5. Leaders rarely feel bored and aspire in becoming better ones of themselves. People
strive to discover exciting options and they are interested in these.
6. For each recruitment and promotion, leaders increase the goal for success. They
rapidly transfer employees with good ability throughout the business when they have
been recognized.
7. It is consciousness to think limited. A strong vision that inspires effort is developed
and expressed by leadership. Individuals possess different patterns of thinking and
look for creative ways to assist customers.
Problematic management approaches in Amazon
There are several problematic management approaches which are found in the company, a
few of them are as follows:
a. The revenue on Amazon can vary widely depending on the sales and production,
discounts, delivery charges, as well as competition level in a particular sector (Gaus,
2019). It's difficult to accurately and quickly analyse the market competitiveness and
productivity. Furthermore, since Amazon's reporting is so weak, most sellers are
uncertain of its actual profit.
b. Understanding in-depth data regarding shipment options, Amazon operations, trying
to renegotiate prices, duplicated listing, Mapping issues, tax setting, buy box
competition, respondents indicated, as well as other issues can indeed be hard for
merchants (Knowledgeridge, 2020). When they start to realize the show's potential of
increasing revenue, Amazon have seen most clients transition from just single
component employees managing their Amazon programs to dedicating experienced
teams and pulling in firms.

specific assurances.
f. Due to its massive choice of affordable goods, Company has grown to become the
biggest and most popular e-commerce website. It owes a lot of it to the vast network
 of third-party merchants. Unfortunately, that technique ultimately results in losing
Amazon. In recent times, the number of products on Amazon offered by third parties
has risen: two-thirds of Amazon sales are generated by third-party merchants, rising
above 38 percent in 2013. Yet that has its host of concerns, such as imposters, fake
products, and prohibited items that Amazon is still not able to erase properly
(Casanova et al., 2018).
g. Amazon's record for HR management is just not exactly great. It is very well regarded
as a predominantly white, masculine organization. Although its best attempts, the
company was unable to decrease lot of turnovers.
h. Apart from these problems, poor HR management often creates other problems. To
keep people longer, the focus is on sustaining their pleasure and fulfilment. People
become unhappy with backgrounds and different practices inside the organizations,
which discourages individuals (Algahtani and Gull, 2018). If Amazon employees do
not even stay with a company for really long, it's mainly due to the harsh managerial
culture and style. However, it seems that internal and external pressures have an
effect.
Mitigation for the problematic management approaches founded
 The main failure they observe is branding approaching Amazon as an accident and
underutilizing its complete capacity, often due to inadequate awareness about where
to start (Brandao et al., 2019). Users can commence by evaluating the possible effects
on Amazon to that of the existing platforms and shifting their available resources.
 Individuals can draw suitable consumers, lead people to their product descriptions
page, and grab premium Amazon search-results leasing by placing paid advertising
activities for their products by using a smart term and pricing approach.
 In addition to impacting the natural position in Amazon search engine results, the
quality of the customer reviews can also significantly increase the business exchange
rate (Berg et al., 2019).
Human Resource Management Practices Amazon can use to
create a culture to improve employee engagement
The human resource management practices of Amazon are often shown in their goal of
building self-sufficient leadership who really can supervise their activities and help others in
obtaining particular employment capabilities. Consequently, the development of their unique
philosophy as a basis for future success is critical for the effective implementation of their
initiatives (Norris et al., 2018). The main core values or leadership principles that are
presented to all new hires at Amazon serve as a foundation for its HRM practices. Qualities
consist of a concentration on the customer, leadership, smartness, a tendency towards
movement, a high standard for talent, and innovation. Management generally involves
focusing on targeted customers and an attitude towards consumers.

participate, wrap things up the recruitment and selection process. The interviewing process

This is important again for continuing recruitment of specialists and employee engagement.
The company can turn to arrange public visits for potential workers to assure customers those
processes conform to safety regulations (Ahmed et al., 2020). The publishing of annual
reports just on the number of instances of workplace accidents with such an explanation of
their cause is yet another potential measure.
Bringing out all the true reasons for this outcome would allow Amazon to reduce the number

component of a company's key objective. People were trained to equip them with the required
expertise for their jobs (Stone et al., 2020). It improves the productivity of the organization
even while improving the company's efficiency. Amazon Inc. had developed proper training
and development methods that are intended to increase the expertise and skills of the
workforce in a range of functional domains. Therefore, establishing training programs in
place to allow staff to adjust to the working world.
As per data from various sources, Amazon is reportedly putting staff in situations that could
harm their safety. Another cause of a safety regulation breach is the discharge of mosquito
sprays at the firm's warehouses, which caused the wounds of hundreds of employees who
work both physically and distantly in different parts of the world (Sheeba and Christopher,
2020). These interesting effects are the lack of security protections in place or the company's
failure to educate its workers about possible danger from interaction with these substances.
Including all the human resource management practices the company elevated in the creation
of culture to improve employee engagement by also providing different rewards, this will
also help in the motivation for the employees.
Equity theory
As per equity theory, several other variables determine employee satisfaction rather than just
motivating concerns. When evaluating their labor and income to all those people in a similar
business even at the same position in another company, an employee estimates their levels of
job satisfaction. As per the equity theory, compensation must be allocated unequally on work
and skill equitably (Lloyd and Mertens, 2018).
While hardly offering the highest pay on the marketplace, Amazon is among the best
corporate masters in the modern economy. There are still some companies that pay more
often than Amazon, and there are some that offer less. Amazon is now in a good spot because
the inflow and output of resources balanced each other out guaranteeing that it has always
access to effective personnel.
Ways by which Amazon might motivate employees to develop
their emotional intelligence and psychological contract
Amazon realized that wealth, particularly after it is obtained, somehow doesn't act as a
powerful motivation. Therefore, employees' "desire for cash" is a powerful motivator so it
keeps people going. Each employee does have a huge hook next to them that gets larger the
nearer they do it. That is how motivation works. Whenever a person is conscious of their
future pay is displayed, that information is motivating (Apicella, 2020). Employees will be
motivated to work for such a future and put a huge amount of work. Additional methods to
motivating employees are being used by Amazon, including training, career opportunities,
and work culture.

For so many individuals, adapting to a new baseline is hard. Although some individuals have
quickly adapted to the new transition, others still find it very difficult. In these kinds of
circumstances, many people have suffered from long working hours, video conferences,
commitments, and home diversions (Cremer, 2022). One should ensure that the members of
staff are adapting to the current scheme effectively in their role as a supervisor. A fit worker
will become more effective but someone who is demoralized and also in poor physical
condition.

The leadership abilities that objectives were achieved to inspire workers and maintain a
positive perspective on the company's progress are the main focus of Amazon's HR skills.
They additionally include the ethical dimension of Amazon's operations, so team members
should be aware of it and loyal to these norms. Furthermore, they should know how the HRM
practices connect to critical business ideas.
As there is no way of verifying whether the claim is true or if this technique is used to get
dispose of workers who are liked by everyone but do better than the average, Amazon must
change its rule on criticizing colleagues. In only combination with such a control mechanism
that guarantees the integrity of the information so that it can be effective accordingly.
Moreover, it is essential to follow the code of conduct of a business concerning taxation and
