DAILY LESSON PLAN ON ELECTRICITY
The learners demonstrate an understanding of:
CONTENT STANDARDS  Current-voltage-resistance relationship, electric power,
electric energy, and home circuitry.
The learners shall be able to discuss the safety practices in
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
handling electrical devices.
The learners should be able to:
 infers the relationship between current and charge
 creates models or cites analogies for electrical charge,
current, voltage, power and resistance
LEARNING COMPETENCIES
 differentiates voltage from current and identify which
causes physiological effects
 explains the function of a resistor and identify household
examples
At the end of the session, the learners should be able to:
1. Identify the components of simple circuits.
I.OBJECTIVES 2. Construct simple circuit.
3. Appreciate the importance of electricity in our daily lives.
4. Actively participate in the group activity.
II. SUBJECT MATTER ELECTRICITY

c. Establishing a purpose for the 2. What can you say about those words found in the board
lesson puzzle?
3. Do you have any idea of our new lesson today?

(Dry cell works!)
-Distribute to the learners the activity sheets.
-Give time for the learners read and analyze the instructions in
the activity sheets.
-Ask the learners for any clarifications.
-Allow one member of the group to get the materials needed for
the activity.
-Present to the learners the rubrics for the presentation. Let
them modify it if necessary.
Rubrics for presentation:
- the rubrics shall be agreed by the class
- the more lights they produced the higher the points.

-Let the students perform the activity. (20 mins)

-Let each group present their output giving emphasis on the
following:

 Identify the components of a simple circuit.

Evaluation: Fill in the blanks. Write the correct answer.
1. The fundamental particles that create electrical forces.
2. Average electrical potential energy of a charge in a
specific region in space
V. EVALUATE
3. Determines the electrical force present between objects.
4. The altered space around a charge.
5. States that charges can never be created nor destroyed;
they are simply transferred from one object to another.
VI. EXTEND Say: Differentiate current and voltage. Show a diagram of
current and voltage. Write your answer in ½ piece of paper.
