    INVITATION FOR THE AWARD OF AGSOBA ORDER OF MERIT (AOM)


    As you are quite aware, Article XX1V of the AGSOBA GLOBAL Constitution
    stipulates that there shall be an AGSOBA Honours and Awards Committee
    (AHAC) which shall see to the administration of all categories of Award in the
    Association.
    Consequent upon the above, the Committee hereby invites Global Executive
    Committee to forward the names of nominees for the 2023 Award of AGSOBA
    ORDER OF MERIT (AOM) to the Secretary of AGSOBA Honours & Awards
    Committee (AHAC), AGSOBA GLOBAL Secretariat on or before Thursday 20th
    April, 2023.
    The Award is in three (3) broad Categories which are:
    1. AOM (T) – Tutors
    2. AOM (P) – Prefects
    3. AOM (S) – Outstanding Student Performance
    Kindly please note that all Nominees must meet all the approved requirements
    in line with the provisions Article XXIV 3(e) of the AGSOBA GLOBAL Constitution
    which is reproduced in the Annexure below.
    Whilst looking forward to receiving your nominations, please accept our

    ANNEXURE

    Eligibility
    To be eligible for the Award, a Teacher /Old Boy of the School must, meet the following
    conditions as stated in Article XXIV 3(e) of the AGSOBA GLOBAL CONSTITUTION:

    1. A Serving or Past Teacher of Abeokuta Grammar School


    OR
    2. A Student who has served as a Prefect of the School
    OR
    3. A Student of the School who has distinguished himself/herself in service to
    the School, in academics, in sports, in extra-curricular activities, made
    inventions or innovations or has brought honour to the School or to AGSOBA;
    AND
    4. Be of sound mind.

    Nomination Process 
    The nomination must be in written application which will be forwarded by the N.E.C to
    the Secretary of the AGSOBA Honours & Awards Committee (AHAC).

    Mode of Submission 
    All applications must be supported with the following:
    1. Evidence of Compliance with Provisions of Article XXIV 3(e) I-4 of the AGSOBA Global
    Constitution
    2. Letter detailing Nominees contributions to Abeokuta Grammar School & AGSOBA
    3. Letter of Recommendation by the Global Executive Committee
    4. Five (5) copies of Applicant's citation not more than two (2) pages
    5. Two Recent Coloured Passport Photographs

    Close of Entry 
    All submissions must be received not later than 11:59pm on Thursday 20th of April, 2023. All
    applications received later than this date WILL not be processed.

    Conferment of Award 
    All successful applicants will be decorated with a Plaque, Citation & Medallion at the
    Merit Award Dinner Night during the Founders’ Day Activities
